Cole: [Cole has offered Summer an acting role but insulted her while doing it] Are you interested or not?

Summer: No. No, I'm not.

Cole: You're not.

Summer: No. Not for that amount. I'm worth more.

Cole: The toe of your shoe is held together by duct tape.

Summer: The amount of money I have is not indicative of my worth, if it were

[laughs]

Summer: it would indicate I'm the lesser of us two individuals on this porch.

Cole: You're saying you're not the lesser individual on thi-

[Summer interrupts Cole]

Summer: [Summer speaks over Cole] -I'm saying the only one of us being an ass here is you!

Cole: [Cole opens and closes his mouth] So you don't want the part.

Summer: No. Not for that amount.

[Cole puts on his sunglasses and walks off the porch to his car. Summer yells after him]

Summer: Goodbye Mr Masten! That's what we say in the South when one person leaves. It's called valediction!

Cole: [Yells without looking back] What's it called when one person makes a huge mistake?

Summer: It's called Life.
