More to Come: A Tonight Show Documentary

This documentary expertly captures The Tonight Show and Johnny Carson's tenure as its host. The film's ability to balance comedic and insightful moments throughout the interviews, while also making a larger statement about the direction late night television has taken over the years, makes the film both entertaining and illuminating. Definitely a must watch for Tonight Show fanatics and neophytes alike.

I definitely felt a lot of nostalgia while watching this. But conversely, it felt contemporary, and it was really interesting. I loved the choice of comedians that were interviewed--funny and enjoyable to watch and listen to. If anything, I wish there was a part 2 or that this was longer.

Combining archival footage with contemporary interviews from comedy legends, this is the history of not only Johnny Carson, but how his comedy and his show helped to shape late night TV as we know it and the success of many Hollywood careers today. Simultaneously nostalgic and refreshing. No body does it better than Johnny!
