The Shadow and the Preys

Found it on my recommended list and thought what the hell, let's see what it's all about. Wound up bingeing the entire series. If it weren't for the annoyance of bathroom breaks, I never left my sofa. It draws you in and grabs hold of you. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but the eerieness and unnerving atmosphere of the location and storyline had me glued to my screen. I truly hope there will be more to come.

Adjectives that come to mind: Implausible Ridiculous Laughable Difficult to watch Poor writing Absurd Pathetic Preposterous Brainless And no closure. With the characters that survived, it looks like they will make another season. I will NOT waste my time watching it.

Well, that was certainly an anti-climactic "ending". Just as soon as the "search party" enters the woods all of the characters begin acting as though they have become brain-dead.

This is about as nonsensical and open-ended a series as is most any teenager slasher movie; and perhaps that is exactly what the writers were going for. That is the only explanation that my wife and myself have come up with. Except that here the principal characters are further developed to the point that it is easier to have empathy for them.

But then neither of us is from Villefranche so I doubt that, in the words repeated over and over by the residents, we would understand.

That inspector was just as clueless as was Inspector Clouseau in The Pink Panther movies.

I watched the last episode,and nothing was explained... don't tell me there's another season...it's not worth it...just a couple of episodes to explain, and close it...tooo slowwww...

While some great things happening to sort of give closure, way too many unanswered questions for this to be the end. Good acting and dark cinematography.
