Very well directed and produced movie. Story line is gripping, fresh and not an old wine in a new bottle. Grab a large drink and a big bowl of pop corns before you find your seat because once the movie starts, you will be hooked onto it till the end. A real treat.

Long due action suspense thriller finally in KFC. Refreshing new concept coupled with Mum and daughter sentiment in a subtle way. Amazing background score, songs are melodious. Chaitra Achar is the future star, wonderful acting skills. Main characters have done really well. Debut director has done tremendous job, more expected from him in future. For sure keeps you on seat edge for the entire length of movie, whole story is narrated as events in 3 days...that shows the powerful screenplay in the film. Do not miss out!!

Premier show in London was a sold out, everybody loved it!!! KFC needs films like this...

One of the best suspense thriller movie I have watched recently. A complete family entertainer

Sandalwood's been churning out quite a number of female oriented films this year with Devaki & D/O Parvathamma being the recent two. Mahira also is an addition to this list.

The story of this film is about a woman, who is on the run from two groups - a gang of killers and an investigation bureau. While on the run, she has the responsibility of protecting her daughter and she uses her expert survival skills to escape from them. What is her real identity and why are these groups after her ? The answer is shown in the movie quite well.

The film has some really good action sequences and impressive cinematography paired with an impactful background score akin to Hollywood thrillers. But the film unfortunately fails to keep the viewer engaged due to its weak storyline. The film begins on an alluring note but slowly loses steam and the thrill factor gets diminished considerably. Also there are some plot holes which add to the negatives.

The casting of the film is quite impressive. Virginia Rodrigues plays a brilliant role as the skilful and protective mother. Her action scenes where she displays her quick reflexes will leave you amazed. Chaitra Achar gives her best performance as the tomboy daughter and she rides the bullet motorbike almost effortlessly. Raj Shetty has performed well as usual, churning out some humorous sequences.

Overall this movie tries hard to come out as an engaging action thriller but the feeble storyline doesn't allow it to succeed much. Thriller movie fans can give this a try though!

Mahira is sure to delight discerning movie-goers everywhere. It has several things going for it. The story is meaty, with suspense maintained through to the end. It's two protagonists -- both female! -- are strong yet sympathetic, drawing us in from the first frame to the last; newcomer Chaitra Achar, in particular, is a fabulous find and is sure to have a glittering career ahead. The songs are mellifluous and meaningful and fit unobtrusively into the story, and there is a freshness about the direction and the locations that make this a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
