INSIDE JOKE: Shortly after Maria Corvier (Cyd Charisse) storms off, a man tells her assistant that he would like to meet her and is told that he is out of luck. The man is played by Tony Martin, Charisse's real-life husband.

Lewis and Lili St. Cyr; and New Frontier presents Marge and [link=nm0150706. As of 2023, only the Flamingo and Sands still do business, as well as the Golden Nugget on Fremont Street, whose neon sign is also glimpsed briefly. Many of the colorful neon signs seen have since been preserved in the Las Vegas Neon Museum.
"It's Fun to Be in Love" (music by Nicholas Brodszky, lyrics by Sammy Cahn), performed by Dan Dailey, Betty Lynn and George Chakiris was cut from the film. The song is included on the updated 2006 edition of the 6-CD boxed set "That's Entertainment! The Ultimate Anthology of M-G-M Musicals" released by Rhino/TCM Music (R2 73192).
"You Got Looks" (music by Nicholas Brodszky, lyrics by Sammy Cahn), sung by Lena Horne, was cut from the film. Horne made it a staple of her nightclub act for the rest of the decade.
This film did well at the box office, earning MGM a profit of $496,000 according to studio records.
