Amusing, entertaining and charming comedy stars the great Alfredo Landa accompanied by a large plethora of secondaries. It deals with a villager, Alfredo Landa, living at a little village in Aragon. He has multi-employment and also works as a secretary of the wealthy man : Alfonso del Real, a businessman in the small place . This one assigns him to look for his daughter who fled Paris long time ago. Then Landa decides to attempt his luck going away, in spite of opposition his sister : Josele Roman. Landa goes Paris where he gets lousy and part-time jobs as a butler, a waiter at a strip-tease show, among others. There he meets a beautiful girl : Paz, who disguised as a nun, she swindles to him. Later on, he fall in love for her. Along the way Landa is detained and interrogated by a Police Inspector, Antonio Ferrandis, who befriends him. He also meets a mobster, Ricardo Merino, who is planning a crime.
Funny, commercial and comfortable Comedy with the always great Alfredo Landa as a gullable villager who carries out a mission when his chief asks him for seeking his daughter and granddaughter. The screenplay contains enjoyable touches of humor and irony, paying tribute to those people who emigrated to seek fortune in foreign countries and undertaking hard-working in order to help their impoverished families.The actors are simply adequate, the story flows at the alright pace with appropriate narration .It is well set, mostly in Paris, including a lot of sightseeing as Panteon, Concorde square, Louvre, Effiel Tower and other monuments, and including vistas from Red slums, shows and the Moulin Rouge . Nicely starred by Alfredo Landa, a comedy usual, creating his own genre : Landismo. As he starred a great number and working for Lazaga in Cateto a Babor, Vente a Alemania Pepe, Vente a ligar al Oeste, No firmes mas letras cielo. Thanks to Mario Camus and his Los Santos Inocentes, Landa got some dramatic roles as Bosque animado, Crack I, II, Rio que nos lleva, Tata mia, Sinatra, Cancion de cuna, which achieved fame and awards. Landa is magnificently supported by a great support cast as Jose Sacristan, Alfonso Real, Ricardo Merino, Erasmo Pascual, Amparo Marti, Jose Yepes, Antonio Ferrandis, among others . And some Destape actresses as Yolanda Rios, Josele Roman and Barbara Rey.
Atmospheric cinematography by Manuel Rojas, being shot on location in Madrid, Torrelaguna and Paris. Evocative and lively musical score by Anton Garcia Abril. The picture was professionally directed by prolific Pedro Lazaga, though has some flaws and gaps . He was a Stajanovist and well known director. He made all kinds of genres as Drama : Cuerda de presos, Posicion avanzada, Torrepartida, all of them set in Spanish civil war. He also directed Peplum as 7 Spartans. Being known for his comedies as Las Muchachas de azul, Chicos del Preu, Ana dice si, La amante perfecta, Hasta que el matrimonio nos separe, La decente, El divorcio que viene. He was hired by production company Agata Films/Jose Luis Dibildos where he made his greatest hit :Los tramposos. And he realized several Paco Martinez Soria vehicles as Abuelo made in Spain, Padre de criatura, Alegre divorciado, Estoy hecho un chaval, Vay par de gemelos.Rating 5,5/10. Acceptable and passable Landa comedy.
