Friday the 13th: A Nude Beginning

80's were a weird time for porn parodies. I'm guessing that due to the scrutiny of the Meese commission and other things going on, they were scared of getting sued when glomming onto mainstream IPs. As a result, this one features "Jason", as played by Paul Thomas, ditching his iconic hockey mask early to don a polo shirt and khakis as he gets into an escalating series of dares with his sister (a devilish Amber Lynn who does a great job trading barbs with Thomas) in hell to see who can out corrupt mortals better. So as a F13 cash in, it's a total dud. As its own thing, it's not that great either. Director Lincoln takes some pretty good shots at the moral majority, but the supernatural "Jason" nonsense is an unnecessary distraction. The sex is functional, Nina Hartly steals the movie as a man hating feminist and is clearly having a blast, but it's not enough to really recommend this one despite how great she is.

This movie opens with a guy sitting in Hell wearing a hockey mask. After a few seconds, he removes the mask to reveal a completely normal looking dude. The woman he's been hanging out in Hell with proceeds to call him Jason about thirty-seven times. It may also be named after my personal favorite Friday the 13th entry, but this is where any and all similarities with the popular horror franchise end.

Obviously, if you're looking for a slasher porn parody you will be very disappointed with this movie. I was fine that it wasn't, and knew that going in, but my main issue is that there's really no horror aspect to be found here at all. Why name it that then not even give it a little bit of a horror twist, ya know? (Marketing gimmick, I know, but still.)

The man and woman in Hell keep daring one another to go back to Earth and corrupt the innocent. This is our weak wraparound tale to piece together these clumsily shot sex scenes. There really is no narrative, although a couple of the scenes involve the same characters. The one involving the televangelist at least gave me a couple laughs because of how offensive it was at times.

Other than that, this is very run of the mill late 80's pornography, and not a very good one at that. If you're looking for horror porn, stay away, and if you're looking for Jason Voorhees slasher porn, forget about this title entirely and go check out the Official Friday the 13th Parody from Zero Tolerance instead.

This is a spin off of the a film titled Friday 13th: A New Beginning. However, this film has little relation to the original. Whether the title is made to like it is a spin off, or just an ingenious marketing strategy, is for everyone's guess.

On the star of every clip, there are conversations between two people, supposedly the 'devils' talking about their mischievous ways to make Humans stray from the God's way.

The acting is amateurish as hell, but it is amusing. The dialogs are witty, and the facial expressions are bizarre as well.

It contains many scenes of sexual innuendos, so it is probable for me to give a warning; Don't watch it with your children !

Jason is burning in Hell when demon Justine (Amber Lynn) starts to mock him and make fun of him. Soon Jason shows off his powers and from this point on we see various sex scenes with built around scenes involving Jason and the demon.

Friday THE 13TH: THE NUDE BEGINNING, the title at least, is a take-off on the fifth film from the Paramount series but those expecting a scene-for-scene remake or spoof will be disappointed. So, will fans of the horror franchise want to watch this? Honestly, it's doubtful that they'd want to because there's very little here spoofing the series. We start off with the Jason character wearing a hockey mask the the demon always speaks to him like Jason's mother did in the first film.

Outside of that this is basically just a straight porno. Fans of these low-budget porn releases will probably view this film and think it gets the job done. It's certainly not a classic but the point of these direct-to-video releases were to simply get something on film and into video store. This was directed by Fred Lincoln, best remembered for his role in Wes Craven's THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT.
