The motorcyclist who raced Sky in the opening racing sequence, is seen wearing a replica helmet of Mick Doohan, which was mass produced by Arai in the early 1990s. Both bikes raced by him and Sky represented the Rothmans and Repsol (respectively) color scheme of the Honda Racing Corporation, whom Doohan raced for that decade.

At the beginning, Kelly is shown walking through the harbor tunnel which has always been prohibited to pedestrians.
