Juhi Chawla's strip tease

C. I. D. Review :

Noted director Brij Sadanah's last production; CID was loosely based on Hollywood film Witness (1985) which was already made as Hatya (1988) by Govinda. Vinod Khanna played the titular role with Amrita Singh as his lady love and Kiran Kumar as his foe. A not so bad film which tanked at the box office; CID is a film most regretted by Juhi Chawla who had probably signed this inconsequential role before her stardom. She had a strip tease song with villain Kiran Kumar pawing her all over which was reminiscent of the Padma Khanna- Premnath number in Vijay Anand's Johny Mera Naam. The item number became talking point of gossip mags. The film however, sank without a trace.
