Extremely short, but sweet.
This is the shortest of all the animations directed by Georges Schwizgebel, lasting merely about a couple of seconds.
However, that extremely brief lapse of time is more than enough to contain all the distinctive elements present in the rest of his work, with a rather charming result.

Tribute to Töpffer
Rodolphe Töpffer was a Swiss author, painter, cartoonist best known for the earliest forms of graphic literature.
Swiss animator Georges Schwizgebel pays tribute to Rodolphe Töpffer in his very short and fast paced cartoon Zig Zag.
There is not plot to Zig Zag, the music is by Beethoven and the piano music is performed by Louis Schwizgebel, the director's son and a noted concert pianist.
The animation are like drawings by Töpffer. It is very nicely done and at 45 seconds long, it can be detailed and frenetic.
