I grew up watching Lilly aka Superwomen, I think I was one of her first couple thousand followers on YouTube. So when she announced she was going to have her own show, I was ecstatic for her because we all know how hard she worked to get here. She deserves it. But after watching one episode, I'm just disappointed. Truly disappointed. I got bored 2 min in, the jokes are borderline lame and cringeworthy and just sound racist at times (& I'm not one to say that lightly). I'm just sad because she has this amazing opportunity to reach out to young people on this platform but instead she choices to victimize herself half of the time. It's not even funny. I truly don't think the show will last. I live in Seattle, WA and everyone I know around me thinks the same. If her content doesn't change and FAST, she's going to be done pretty fast.
Awkward, unfunny and a painful reminder that modern networks are completely out of touch.
There aren't really any jokes in her segments. So really, its just her constantly bashing on other groups of people for the entirety of the season. And its all done with a smile on her face.
When Lily Singh said she wants to be a comedian people laughed. Now nobody is laughing anymore.
Seriously. This is horrible comedy. The jokes lack pun and originality. Her presentation is awful. It seems forced, over the top and smug all at once. The woman is no comedian and the person writing her jokes should be fired.
You want to have a "bisexual woman of color" as a host and make some pokes at today's social culture and white people and all that. Do it, but can you get a host that has a talent to be a comedian?

The lame, racist, sexist and offensive white people jokes?
We get it, you're a bisexual woman of color with a late night tv show. I don't think anyone over the age of 4 is under the impression that Lily Singh is anything but a woman of color meaning she's a) not a man, and b) not white. We can tell, we are aware trust us! We are not confusing you for another gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality since you told us ....
I just hope that there were more jokes that didn't involve or revolve around the same issues over and over it sounds like a broken record.
