the past

The Tripoli Abu. Salim prison massacre, in june 29, 1996 is the heart of this very special short film.

It is special for acting and for inspired craft of story.

For the dialogue, in you feel the shadows of past confrontation and in the delicate balance between main characters.

In the game of apparences and the brutal reaction against venerable prisoner.

For the precise definition of relation between faith and politic. For the image of revolution in its essence.

Two venerable men representing two political ages of Lybia. One - ex- prisoner. The other - present prisoner. Each of them, in different political contextes, interrogator.

The great virtue is the definition of the essence of their last meeting.

But the film is absolutely great for the seductive - provocative universal message. It is a Lybian dramatical story representing more. And that makes it a profound useful exploration of past.
