The acting of the leads was just dire, it would have been better for the actress playing the sister to lead as she could at least act. The lead actress couldn't act, had a strange voice and even odder lips, what were they thinking! The lead men were as bad, neither could act and weren't cast well. The child was as bad but her age was a factor in it, no excuse for the lead adults. Next time cast the sister in the lead, she could act and had a pretty, natural face. The script was weak, all in all abysmal.
The only upside was the scenery was glorious.

This movie has a nice storyline, but the acting is terrible and some of the writing choppy. I wish I would have spent time watching something else and skipped this one
I wanted to like this. In truth I didn't finish it. I couldn't overlook the acting. It's really hard to watch. Maybe these people are better at their craft now. Maybe they were just off. It looks like maybe inexperience but I don't know. Sorry guys but I have to pass on this one 🙁
As the other reviewer said, the acting was abysmal, and I could only watch for 20 minutes. These 'actors/actresses' need to realise that there is an audience who needs to hear and understanding the dialogue - so NOT speaking at 100 mph is preferable, and only Marlon Brando got away with mumbling - clarity is what we need ! sadly these films do not have subtitles which would help ! Also they must act completely different in their auditions for these films, either that or the casting directors are desperate.
I managed to get as far as the 'party' in this film, but please can Directors get extras who can show more enthusiasm when dancing in the background ! Time and again we see guests at parties/weddings who just slowly bob around like they've all got leaden feet. We watch these films to escape our mundane lives for a couple of hours, not be made aware that our lives are so much better !!11

Brigitte Kingsley is just terrible. I hated her character within two minutes and her acting is horrendous. Twenty minutes in and I'm not sure I'll get much farther. Blech.

- AnecdotesThe opening aerial view of the city along the river, is Portland, Oregon.
- GaffesWhen the main character Katie arrives at her hometown, she's rolling a suitcase behind her while she's walking down a train platform as if she had just arrived by rail, but there is literally no one else around. The train station obviously isn't actually in use. Here's an example where a dozen or so extras leaving and/or boarding the train would've maintained the illusion that it was a real working train station.
