To be very truthful the plot was twisted but little, babul supriyo character was thrown in all of a sudden then taken out as quickly, his talent remained underutilized and finally the weak script overshadowed by the milestone created by baishe srabon. It is a fair TV movie, that's it.
Watch the movie without the expectation to surpass your experience of watching 22se srabon.
Script is okay type..dialogues are good.....finding of this story is 'why'(instead of finding 'who' in 22se srabon.)
Acting is very good...ritabroto , anirban & param have done exceptional job.
As this is the sequel of "22se srabon",everywhere you will be directed to the flashback, which seems to be little repeatative at times..(specially for the keen watchers of 22se srabon).
The twist at the end is the real surprise for viewers...good job done by srijit....though naked portray of homosexuality content could have been avoided at the last scene.
What can happen between two lovers(irrespective of gender) is well known.
Last but not the least ,"prabir da"we miss u a lot.
The pick up tone of the film was very much unique. And the plot too developed in an intense manner. But somehow if the end was kept open and left for the audience it would have been the highest grossing film and plot itself would have created a lot of fanbase. But somehow the introduction of some bizzard logics related to mental health issues went over my mind. I was disappointed by the ending. But the performances were great including Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Anirban Bhattacharya and Rwitobrata Mukherjee.
A good ending. But the reason it is not a good sequel is because there is a gap in the storyline of Baishe Srabon and this movie. It felt like the director never planned for the second movie when he made the first one. The first one came organically to him and that is why it will always be one of the good Bengali movies. The second film is something that the director made may be under compulsion or may be just to make a sequel. So the sequel did not work for me. Anirban's acting is like he is acting on stage and is not natural. But rest of the actors are good.
The story is quite mesmerizing in the context of the city. However, it was too dense at the end.
I feel the useless romantic part take away the greatness of the plot by stealing screentime
