First off, I want to apologize, at the same time show appreciation for a movie that never came out in my country before I saw it. I hope someday it will just as the first one was.
Spirited sequel. If you liked the first (Fantastic Journey to OZ) it's definitely worth checking out as it picks up after the events of the first film.
Dorothy has a guy-friend that is a bit clumsy and doesn't have much confidence or assertiveness to him. Through a series of accidents the two find themselves trapped in OZ split apart. This happens while Urfin is working out his escape from prison and into his next mischievous plan to take over Emerald City.
Most of the film follows Tim as his many gullible blunders lead him to learn to find himself just as Dorothy sets off to find him. Hopefully the two can fix things and return home.
Honestly, this film wasn't bad for a sequel. There were some cringe jokes that didn't quite hit, but nothing bad ever featured in the film. It was still a lot better than a lot of other OZ related films that had come out over the years. It's a shame that audiences didn't seem to like it. I'm not an OZ fan, but I enjoyed watching both Fantastic Journey and Return to OZ and would have liked to see what they had next. But for what it's worth I want to thank the filmmakers for providing these fun family-friendly films that I'm sure to enjoy for years to come.
