Mesmerica 360

Director Michael Saul and composer James Hood have set out to create something very different to Hollywood fayre: entertainment that aims to leave you feeling better than when you came in. Reimagining the planetarium as a place of reflection, Mesmerica really makes you unwind in a way that's rare outside of meditation apps etc - yet this is a lot more accessible than that.

It clearly affects different people differently; when I visited, some people came out in tears, some didn't seem to get it at all. I can imagine the sort of personal journey it takes you on isn't for everyone, but for the right person this is absolutely unique and can be deeply moving, using a medium which to my mind is far more powerful and visceral than VR. A team to watch.

If you think this has any value, you're wrong. It's a glorified Windows 98 screensaver with a hippy narrator who says you should be more happy, bro. Look at these 3d pipes, aren't you happy yet? Thanks for paying me $80 and letting me waste hours of your life.

At one point, there were literal bongos and detached 3d pixelated hands of whom I assume was James'. No, it was not as fun as bongos should be.

He said at one point, that people struggle so hard to find happiness in life, but he did it so easily by recording the screensaver and making us pay $80 for it. I will never feel the same about planetariums. Their legacy is forever stained by this hippy garbage.

I went to see Mesmerica and honestly, it was one of the most calming and beautiful experiences I've ever had. It's not a story or anything you need to follow - you just sit back, look up, and let the visuals and music completely surround you. The colors are super vibrant and the animations feel like you're traveling through dreams or space. I actually forgot where I was for a while because it was so immersive. This experience could be perfect for a first date or date night with your, if you're looking for something relaxing, different, and honestly kind of magical. Just go with an open mind and let yourself drift.

Mesmerica was more than a one hour screensaver. And it's not necessary to be a baby boomer high on mushrooms to enjoy it.

Yes, it's New Age. However, you don't have to be a proponent of New Age to take in the panorama of beautiful images and the virtual reality experience.

I also found it very relaxing as you can lie back and absorb the images, the music, and the color. We had no idea what to expect, but seeing it at the planetarium was amazing.

I liked the rhythm of the music and found it a very immersive experience.

I grant you this kind of thing - - obviously, from the reviews - isn't for everyone.

Definitely try it if you have the chance Vivid experience ! Me and my mates really enjoyed it fair price for an out of or ordinary experience. It is an ageless experience give it a try you wont be dissatisfied. 3 other friends also had a fantastic time. Good organization and concept really reccomend it for friends who want to try something different. Well organized and tidy. Make sure you share your experience with others. For abyone who is skeptical i strongly recommend for you to give it a chance. Thank you for this amazing organization and experience we are looking forward for the next project !
