A humane, real-life look into the struggle undocumented immigrants face in the U.S.

As a teacher, this film reminded me of so many of my undocumented students, whose family's work so hard for a better life. Chris and Zach are expert storytellers, as this short demonstrates.

Everyone should see this film

Very well done film giving good insight into the ongoing challenges of undocumented immigrants in America with a focus on a the case of Edith, an immigrant in sanctuary in a church, and her lawyer Lizbeth, also an undocumented immigrant herself.

This film is filled with inspiration, hope and provides such an incredible perspective! I loved every minute of it, would definitely recommend for everyone :)

terrific film and great for classroom discussion and engagement

From my experience teaching high school, university students, and adult learners, I see the film Undocumented Lawyer as a fabulous tool for awakening critical consciousness. It is an engaging short documentary film that brings up challenging questions for the viewers. The accompanying guidebook provides an excellent framework to facilitate meaningful discussions, deeper learning, and ways to take action. Through the film, students are able to explore the pressing issues of today and find a compelling, inspirational, and powerful role model in Lizbeth.

Awesome Short Film

The Undocumented Lawyer was spectacular! As someone who studied politics and law, even I was shocked to learn that one can practice law as an undocumented lawyer. Following Lizbeth and her various struggles as an undocumented lawyer is truly a never before seen short and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to broaden their perspective and challenge their pre-existing views.
