To me the film was more about Millennial angst than Bigfoot. Two stalled careers, a dreamer's failed marriage, and a rapper that settled for less.
Though it did drag at times, it was mildly amusing throughout and managed to elicit a few chuckles along the way.
The central character was intended to be the reporter but the Bigfoot hunter stole the show; in my opinion.
I feel that the script was just OK and missed opportunities to add more twists in the story's progress. More weirdness would've amped up my interest, too. The twists at the end did help, however.
The tech aspects of the film were good, and while it's evident that the film was produced on a small budget, they didn't suffer as a result.
The film is definitely not a horror film. Far more scary things can be seen in mainstream media in prime time. Parents: Other than the most overused 4 letter expletive being unnecessarily dropped, any teenager could watch this film. I'm not a prude, but for the love of Mike, can't screenwriters come up with something else to use?
Would I watch it again? No. But I don't feel it was a waste of time either.

Needed more DirtyDolla$ign$
On the plus side at least it was better than Terror at Blood Fart Lake.
Did I say it needed more DirtyDolla$ign$. He was the best part of the movie.

If you can get past the lead constantly licking his lips and beard in the most disturbing way, its a kinda funny but its another way to make fun of southern people by yankee yuppies. If it didn't put the south down in the worst way. It would be more fun.
Not the worst bigfoot movie out there and definitely not the best. I didn't really care for it. It had some good writing and the movie flows well. Unfortunately it becomes boring pretty quick. For the most part It's basically just a movie about a few guys stumbling around in the woods. Nothing really happens. And why is this labeled under horror? Literally nothing scary about this film but ok. 5 stars.
Just watched this on Showtime and sooooo glad I gave it a shot!! There were times I laughed so hard out loud cuz the writing & acting was really very good! You need to like movies like Best In Show, The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel (my personal fav) because it's got that quirky, intelligent, witty humor that's also silly & fun with dry humor throw in the mix too. There were many "twists" that I totally didn't see coming and I'm good at predicting plot twists so I was pleasantly surprised with how the move progressed and ended.
Definitely give it a try if you like the movies I mentioned above (forgot to mention the late great Mel Brooks movies too ~ okay so maybe not on THAT level of genius BUT this is just as fun to watch as his movies).
