Mist, a gorgeous and deadly assassin with the Heritors Alliance, had my complete and unwavering attention from the very beginning. Her voice over at the beginning, relaxed and in control but tension-filled, too, quickly sets the tone for all that follows. And what follows is a well-written story from Farah Evers, who also directed, produced, and played Mist in this thriller.
The action is almost non-stop, complete with gritty hand-to-hand battles as well as the use of much more deadly force. All of it is painted artfully against the backdrop of beautiful locations, giving the film a heavy feel of authenticity. And the intrigue of Heritor Mist handling the killers sent for her isn't just for the sake of action-the plot is complex and pulls the viewer in as it fills in the blanks in its own time, answering questions as it unfolds.
Mixed in with the thrills are subtle nuances, too, that give the entire film a satisfying depth. Picturesque aerial footage of the cityscape and the yacht that Mist calls home. An assassin, shot and left to die, becoming just the sound of his beating heart as we watch his blood flow on the sidewalk. And Mist's craving for alcohol offset by the recurring, and welcome, enjoyment of pizza, and not just by her.
What most elevates this film, though, is that Farah Evers is completely believable as a fierce killer able to spar with the toughest of opponents. She's fit and wears the striking and memorable Mist wardrobe to perfection. And it's not just the seductive and mysterious Mist tattoos that convey the character's intensity-she has a commanding on-screen presence and portrays Mist with strength, confidence, and style.
If I ever run afoul of any powerful, ruthless folks, and if a brutal killer will be dispatched to finish me off . . . Let it be Mist!

Always good to see a strong female lead in a movie! Action packed, twists, turns, and dang she fine :-). Can you believe this is an independent film??? Well scripted, fight scenes are amazing, produced well, and awesome camera work. Proof that you don't need a lot of money to procure a must see film. Some of the action sequences are just as real and good as the big Hollywood films. Can't wait to see the another one of these films
Stop wasting your money on filling big time director/studio pockets that rely on computers to do everything for them and give it to people, like this director/actress/producer, that puts real sweat, blood, and tears into the work.
This movie was an amazing ride to experience every time I thought the film was nearing a crescendo more was occurring, and it just felt like the best film I had seen in a while
I feel like everyone should give this movie a shot because if you've got an afternoon and some popcorn, you're going to have a wonderful evening.
The only thing that I wish this movie had was audio description i.e. The experience where a narrator tells you how and what is happening I can see however I have a friend who's blind and I would love him to experience this movie Other than that, I think it was a great movie once again.

I am not a film critics expert so here comes my crude and unrefined opinion:
I could feel that this movie was made with passion. It has its own hand writing which for me was really refreshing from all the hollywood blur where stuff seems to come all from one conveyor belt with the occational exception.
There was no expensive cgi necessary to hide a poor story behind big kabooms. Also to see some new faces (some were exceptionally well played imho like Ghost, Mist, Mia, DeWitt or the funny motel owner - props to that dude) was a nice change for once and shows that not only Hollywood's big names have it in them.
Action choreography and pace are well made and thought through but there movie is also brave enought to be quiet where it can or rather has to be. The mix overall concerning pace made it a good time to watch and never let me hanging bored.
I do not want to go in any details since I hate spoilers so to keep it up on a high level some scenes are really wonderful shots, music (there is one piece that is great and I love that the also took it for the end credits) choice is well thought of and some actors are nailing it really.
9 Stars are easily earned for this movie especially when one keeps in mind that this is an independent project which even is a big plus because as said before you can really feel the refreshing handwriting of Farah Evers. Shout out to her 👏
Well with that said if you need and want some change from the hollywood brainrot manufactury you can not go wrong with "The Heritor". I hope we get a sequel!

This movie is as shallow as you wanted to be - this goes also in the other direction. It has layers of depth to it, the get connected by transcending motives and themes. Some might argue this is an action movie while some might say that the real action happens between the shots off the camera.
From the casting to the music - everything is extraordinaly on point in it's place at the right time. One actress even convinced me that her acting must be bad, when in reality i fell for the character she plays so brilliantly. Bravo.
You plan to have movie night - just a tip: Simple popcorn doesn't do the trick.
