- Deputy Martin: Jilted lover with a screw loose?
- Axel Palmer: More than one screw, wouldn't you say? Irene never did the jilting.
- Red: [talking to a co-worker on the phone] Well, you know what? You couldn't find your ass with both hands.
- Tom Hanniger: What were you doing at the mine earlier?
- Deputy Martin: I was doing my job.
- Tom Hanniger: Oh.
- Deputy Martin: You're the suspect. Not me.
- Burke: I just saved your ass, Hanniger. For the second time. But don't you worry, kiddo. There won't be a third.
