A six-part television series premiered on Finnish television in September 10, 1982 on Pikku kakkonen (1977) at Yle TV2 channel. Like in the original series Ransu ja Pekka (1981), the actual on-screen title is "Ransu ja Pekka" but the series is generally known as "Ransu ja Pekka lomalla", the title from the television listings.
