    What the heck?

    Ok this is the definition of destroying a classic master piece. I was hugely disappointed and overall the animation is just cursed to watch. Nickelodeon has gone down hill the past years but why this???? I'll stick to the classic thank you.

    For those who have seen the original but not this, I highly recommend it.

    Although the 2004 original is kinda better, this movie is exceptionally good and creative, even for a YouTube re-animation; and everyone involved in the project worked really, really hard. Not only that but this is also a genuinely great tribute to the creator of SpongeBob, Stephen Hillenburg who, as you all know, passed away a few years ago; and I think he would be very proud of this great and really creative movie. I will also happily take this over Nickelodeon's pretty mediocre tribute to Stephen, if you know what I mean. Overall, this movie's pretty genuinely exceptionally good and very creative.

    Surprisingly better than the original film

    This project was almost as good as a parody as total drama reunion was (shout-out to Blu productions for making tdr) rehydrated has a lot of animations and each style is vibrant, I will watch this over the already good original film anytime, I would like to thank every person who was involved in the creation of this project, I'm very proud of you and will be happy if you make another project soon.

    AWFUL!!!!

    This movie is terrible, They just changed the animation, and that's it It just doesn't work as a good movie the original movia is a masterpiece, but this is regettable, It's a copy and paste of the 2004 movie and it doesn't have any "nice or original" things, it's simply no good as a product. In any case, if you just want to see the different animation and that's it, watch it, they just copied and pasted it is sooooo overrated, it has nothing that is different other than design, I know that someone comes and says that it is pretty and all, but that is all I found simply overrated, it does not work as an original product.

    Absolutely phenomenal

    This movie is so creative, well-animated and just fantastic. The people who worked on this movie worked extremely hard and the animation in the different scenes uses a variety of different art styles and media. The original SpongeBob movie (2004) is beloved by so many people, and this movie pays homage to the original without feeling too much like the original and feeling like the same thing. Check this movie out, it's on YouTube, and I really enjoyed it!

      The fan project has had major problems with YouTube's copyright and COPPA bots within only a week of it being uploaded. The video was first copyright blocked by Paramount/Viacom within two hours of its upload, causing many supporters of the project to express their rage against Paramount/Viacom for their infamous copyright system despite the video being within fair use. The hashtag, "#Justiceforspongebob", trended worldwide on Twitter following the blocking. Later that same day, Paramount had lifted the copyright claim from YouTube. On May 5, 2022, the video was flagged as a "Made for Kids" video by the YouTube Bots, with YouTube deeming it as a "Kids" video solely for it being about SpongeBob. The video was blocked by Paramount/Viacom again a couple of hours afterward.
