I am an detective novel enthusiast. I usually watch movies in English language for entertainment. This Bengali movie is one of the few Bengali movies I have watched just for curiosity.
Even though these type of movies are taken into genres such as drama and mystery, they are very different than the Satyajit Ray and Sandip Ray's "Feluda" movies. These type of movies are also different than the modern detective/ thriller movies or, TV series based on books. A new genre should be made for these "realistic" mystery/ thriller movies based on "unique" story/ screenplay. Where the mystery or twist in the story gets the significance it deserves and the story is told effortlessly while holding the modern demands and essence of great cinematography.
This movie is exceptionally good in storytelling and screenplay. The essential part of the plot is very good and quite innovative in the sense of being aligned with real criminal records and modern world events. The acting of a very few of actors has made this movie very believable and enjoyable. The songs are compatible enough with the screenplay and two of them are heart-warming. Some dialogues, parts of the screenplay and direction for actions are very good.
Some parts of the plot, cinematography and details in a scene are felt unnecessary and spoiled the scene along with that part of the plot. I think the director should improve his craft while making more of mystery/ thriller movies.

The storyline of this movie is good and acting is also good. The way they present the story on this movie, it can be more attractive are more interesting. Acting is good, no question about acting but the storyline could be more interesting.
Swarnaja (Koel Mallick) has "golden blood", the rarest among the blood groups and leads a life under strong medical care. She lives with her grandmother, having lost her parents early in a car accident, and aspires to be a radio presenter and lead a normal life, but her doctor urges caution. He advises her to take yoga classes repeatedly, until she signs up one day. Here she meets Shammo (Chandan Roy Sanyal) and it doesn't take her long to fall in love with him, but he is hesitant. She soon realizes that Shammo is already married and his wife Kheya is wheelchair bound. Kheya has also learnt about Swarnaja and befriends her in a unique twist of events and the two women develop a strong friendship. One day though, Kheya attempts suicide, leaving Swarnaja distraught and the latter understands that her friend's act was because of her inability to conceive a child.
Swarnaja offers to become a surrogate mother, much against her doctor's warnings and her grandmother's wishes, but she has made up her mind. Upon delivering the child however, Shammo and Kheya simply vanish from Swarnaja's life, plunging her into depths of depression. A few years go by and again by a twist of fate, Swarnaja's path will cross with Shammo, Kheya and her child, who incidentally has genetically inherited the golden blood. But this time, Swarnaja's resolve, tenacity, investigative skills and resilience are about to be tested, if the ties of blood have to be protected.
"Rawkto Rawhoshyo" is a social drama and thriller with a unique plot. The director Soukarya Gnosal revels in quite a few twists and suspense, making the film a good combination of emotions at play and a crime thriller playing out in the backdrop. Koel Mallick is par excellence as the surrogate, single mother deprived of the love and respect she deserved for the gift of surrogacy for her friend. She also shines in the latter part of the film as the crime investigation gets into full swing. But comparatively, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Basabdatta Chatterjee's roles are poorly etched, underdeveloped and weakly executed. The motive behind the crime is predictable. Rwitobroto Mukherjee delivers a punchy performance as a young boy who understands Swarnaja's pain. But the weakest point of the film is that the friendship between Swarnaja and Kheya hasn't been defined strongly enough (it's a matter of a few weeks) to warrant the former to decide on surrogacy when the latter attempts suicide. It just didn't come across as a convincing action, backed by a credible justification for the decision.

To enjoy this so called 'thriller' your rationale must be elsewhere, be it with cannabis india or under influence of adequate dose of alcohol. The movie was progressing like a typical Bengali movie with good acting by Koel Mallick for an hour until they attempted to incorporate some thriller element. That is the time you have to recheck your rationale to see if it has switched off by narcotics. Under its influence you can enjoy the goof.
Emotional one. Koel as Swarnaja just flawless. Another supporting characters was also good . Second half of the movie was much better & engaging . Performance was the asset of the movie . Few scenes are irrelevant also quite irritating otherwise , brilliant Screenplay. Songs are placed very well on the screenplay . Thank you for the movie Soukarya Ghoshal.
