I honestly can't fathom how this managed to get 2 decent actors attached to it. The script is awful, the effects down right laughable and the majority of the acting terrible. The 10/10 reviews are a joke and nobody who has ever watched any kind of movie before would give this a 10. Being brutally honest I was hard pushed to give it a 1 and that's mainly (fully) down to 2 actors who should be nowhere near this. They should be looking for new representation.
I wouldn't waste your time watching this and if I had the ability to time travel I'd go back to the minute previous to deciding this sounded good and have a right strong word with myself.
Avoid.

Please just don't waste your time. Everyone with 10/10 scoring, shame on you. Good CGI, good storyline, any realness you cannot find in this movie. Next time send the budget to people in need, and spare us the misery of watching such a hollow and uninspired attempt at filmmaking. The plot is predictable, the characters are shallow, and the dialogue is cringeworthy. It's clear that the focus was on visual effects rather than substance, and even that is just absurdity.
This is a prime example of style over substance, leaving the audience with nothing but a forgettable experience. Save your time and money for something worthwhile.

I was looking at the reviews debating if I should watch this and I thought surely it can be as bad as all these one to three star reviews say it is. It actually intrigued me even more to watch it. And Morgan Freeman is there how bad can it really be? Spoiler: don't make the same mistake I made, the bad reviews are spot on.
The entire time watching this I was thinking this could have been a perfectly average action flick. The god awful CGI is the main factor that completely tackles this film from being acceptable to being ridiculous. I haven't seen CGI this bad in 20 years, and the fact it has Freeman and one of the Hemsworth brothers in it makes me believe they had enough of a budget to have decent CGI.
Second thing is the soundtrack. The songs seem so random and not aligned with the scenes at all. The first fighting scene in the forest has this jolly jazz track over it and at the scene in the stripclub they play this sweet innocent lovesong that seems more in place in a teenage Disney show. I was waiting for them to play 'Call me Maybe' at the end scene.
I would give 1 star but the bad CGI and random soundtrack were so laughable that in the end it did entertain me, for all the wrong reasons but still.

Producers should really stop spending money to make awful movies. Use them for something useful, like helping your local homeless shelter, animal shelter. Go spend them on starving kids in poor countries. 90s CGI, shallow story, bad directing, bad acting.
An absolute garbage of a movie. A total waste of time.
Morgan Freeman will do anything to earn a few thousand bucks these days. Such a pitiful old man.
Avoid this film unless you're looking for a mindless, forgettable action flick. Even then, there are better options available. A lazy attempt at creating an action movie. It's a film that fails to impress on nearly every level.

This movie may have changed my life for the better.
Let me first start off by asking - What were they thinking? By they I mean everyone involved with this movie. The acting is terrible. The story is terrible. The filming is terrible. The studio effects are a joke. This is so so so so so bad. I really tried to watch this. I even stopped about a quarter of the way through, went for a walk, gave myself a pep talk and tried watching it again. It was torture but I persevered. It didn't get any better. It only got worse. Like watching an animal slowly die, it just got worse and worse and left a sickening feeling in my stomach once it was all over. I felt so guilty for the time I had wasted that I actually made a commitment to cancel my Prime membership and instead get more active to make up for the time lost on this garbage.

- AnecdotesThe exploding truck toward the end of the movie required extra care because filming was done at an historic site. There was a crowd of people watching the explosions that were not visible when filming but were obscured by trees on set.
- GaffesKendrick Ryker steals a translucent red screwdriver from the truck and hides in his sleeve. Then, when he stabs Lee Gunner with it, it's clear with red accents.
