I recommend this movie to anybody who appreciate a good story. The struggles these soldiers go through after they come home is incredible and we must do right by them. They shouldn't have to fight alone on our own soil, this film really spreads awareness to people who may not know what really happens when soldiers come home. The day to day physical and mental struggles that they have to keep on enduring. Scars that we might not be able to see just by looking at them. This film shows us those scars and helps the viewer be able to see what goes on, and maybe even helps them to do some good that they wouldn't have before.
Sam Medina set out to bring light to what soldiers and Veterans deal with internally after they come home and he went way above and beyond to show this. The cast featured a lot of veterans and it is certainly an emotional look deeper into the mental toll a lot of veterans face that most people never see.
Anyone who has been in one of those uniforms will be able to relate to the characters. Sam set himself apart from other war or military films because he decided to look beyond the guns blazing, explosive war stories and get into the reason why so many Active duty soldiers and Veterans feel lost when they come home.

After watching 22 - The unforgotten soldier, I was left feeling thankful. Thankful & proud to have the privilege to live in a country with such amazing hero's that have sacrificed so much.
There were quite a few scenes in the movie where I had to hold back tears. Seeing the struggles that he faced. And often feeling alone. People not understanding his struggle.
This movie is very moving & powerful.
You get a glimpse at what the main character has been through & just how strong he is & all of his brothers like him. Many are still at war even though they are no longer physically on the battle field. They have sacrificed so much & this movie shows that so well. I will forever be grateful, & this movie has definitely deepened my gratitude. 🇺🇸

Fantastic movie with a very important message - a must-see for everyone! The acting, cinematography, storyline, music, props, etc are all well-done and there's no gratuitous violence, yet the physical and emotional devastation of the horror of war is strongly conveyed and the viewer shares in the reality of the characters. We get an inkling of what they go through. We learn that so many of our fellow citizens are going through life in great pain, continuing to sacrifice for their country everyday, long after active duty ends. At the grocery store and gas station in our own day-to-day lives, we may see men and women in uniform and say "thank you for your service". If only we could see the "invisible uniforms" and the hidden wounds and scars of our veterans! To all of them, we need to offer our support and gratitude for their service and open our eyes to their agony. "The Unforgotten Soldier" does exactly this; it should be played in schools and colleges, community centers, houses of worship, everywhere.
Everyone should see and hear the message of this movie. 22 The Unforgotten Soldier shocked me when I found out that the 22 meant how many suicides per day that our vets are committing! It brought tears to my eyes. Sam Medina, you did a good thing here, you probably will never know how many lives you have touched. I hope that after seeing this movie, more people will contribute to the well being of our veterans. Having all the veterans in the movie made it so real. I will continue to share this movie with everyone, it is certainly worth the watch! Congratulations to you, Sam Medina, and your entire crew! Job well done!
