I'll be honest, this movie is nothing special.

The only two great things I would like to point out are:

• The plot idea on which the film is based, which is remarkably original, although it is surrounded by events that are anything but original, sometimes almost cliché. Nothing astonishing, but it does his job, and that's enough.

• The direction, which manages to keep the viewer on their toes when necessary. Climax moments are well sustained.

Everything else here is mediocre. Some sequences are literally facepalm, while others flow well, and take you to the end of the movie. Some things remain unexplained, and that creates some plot holes. The ending is a bit hasty, though.

That was really engaging Spanish movie based on real story, the screenplay will keep you hook guessing to wrong conclusion, the twist and turn is very well made with good surprises.

Movie has set in the high class residential villas with minimum budget and required cast also less outdoor shots but you won't realise annything missing in the movie since good writing and direction creates a magic.

The way presented the story the viewer will be on the edge of seat until the last minute, this is must recommend movie if your fan of suspense and thriller, just go for it you wont regret.

This type of case, the route he ends up taking is not the most unthinkable or satisfactory, but the truth is that the script achieves what it wants, and it would be a mistake to underestimate its ability to maintain suspense and ambiguity. We can think that the film is about a malevolent girl, about a sinister invisible sect, an alien abduction, the paranoia of a frustrated woman who thinks she sees things... all the possibilities are open at some point .those you don't want anyone to spoil but you forget in a week, though it takes dark twists until it reaches a climax straight out of a horror.

The main actress has done a tremendous job and the story keeps its suspense intact until the very end. Screenplay picks up its pace in second half, where gradually all your questions start answering themselves. Some would say that the ending went a little overboard with twist but it fitted fine with my idea of an expected adrenaline rush one can expect from a thriller.

The concept and title of chalkline is pretty smart. The investment and effort went behind making it a good movie is pretty evident. Accessing the trauma and abuse is done very thoughtfully. Although the images might be unsettling for few.

No pun intended - and yes I understand if you have issues with the movie. With certain depictions (dramatic and otherwise) - or (re)actions of the main characters. Yes you will have to suspend your disbelief! Quite a lot - and it is putting it mildly to be honest.

That all being said, the movie will reward your patience in the end. Because there is more to it than you may think there is. And there will be twists and turns waiting for you (not all marked with chalk - well I had to, didn't I?).

So while you may cringe and pull out a few hairs - try to remember that especially in horror, people have to do certain things for other things to happen ... also there are multiple explanations to many things ... sometimes you may not even be thinking of the one that is the truest ... you may not feel it is, but the acting is more than decent. It is the characters that may annoy you ... don't blame the actors. Still really well made overall and with a finale that is able to sway your mind ... and twist it too.
