Korean Mini Drama " Mr Heart " is a cute short drama with a light storyline.
The drama uses a lot of the trops found in many romantic comedies, they even used the cold guy-cute guy couple dynamics. However, somehow, all these cliches were not cheesy or cringe-worthy and they actually suited the story well. The use of the sports theme was interesting too, as well as the whole family drama of the lead. However, his partner's story was not that well presented, though that's probably due to the drama's length.
The performances, finally, were all great by everyone in the cast, the couple had chemistry and were adorable and the running scenes were well managed.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

I adore BL stories and Mr. Heart really delivered. Taking into account its format (8 short 10 minute episodes) I think this is well done. The story was simple but coherent, and there was just enough conflict to give it that touch of angst. I liked that there wasn't a ton of self-hatred for being attracted to the same sex - that is always a disappointment when one character is just straight up homophobic and mean in public while secretly affectionate to the person they like behind closed doors. Also side note that Sang Ha might be the actual cutest human being on the planet and his actor/acting definitely carried the show.
Now if South Korea could give us a full length BL show that would be great!
If you're looking for a quick watch, I think this series is very good.
It is sweet and subtle with a good story revolving around sports.
The cinematography is also good and you get a good enough story considering its length.
The story could have been better well done but due to its length that was all they do, but I think it was a fine job.
So overall you can definitely give it a watch if you're feeling like watching some fluff.

I found certain elements of the Boys' Love series appreciable but had reservations about its execution and the chemistry between the main leads. By my understanding of the genre's limitations and adjusted expectations significantly influenced my overall perception of the show.
Despite its flaws, I found the overall quality sufficient to watch the series through. The absence of forced or abrupt sexual chemistry and the focus on a comfortable, friendly dynamic between the leads seemed positive, even though it might have detracted from the romantic aspect I anticipated.
I couldn't help but notice the lack of thorough planning and the slightly awkward chemistry between the main characters, which left me desiring a more carefully executed storyline, especially within the BL genre, known for its emphasis on strong emotional connections and chemistry between protagonists.
The series might not suit everyone's tastes, I personally found value in the enjoyable fluff elements and appreciated the absence of forced romantic interactions.

The chemistry between Jin Won(Seungho Cheon) and Go Sangha(Se Jin Lee) is so good, I thought at times that they must be a couple in real life. As mentioned in another review, Se Jin Lee has to be the most adorable person on Earth. Every time you see him, you smile. I have watched the movie version (more on that below)over a dozen times because he makes ME smile. There's nothing sexual about it, he's just a wholesome young man that speaks his heart all through the series/movie. Most of the time, he's happy, so you can't help but smile. His facial expressions are spot on to convey what he's feeling. Seungho Cheon also does this very well. The looks of confusion on his face go a long way to convey what Jin Won is going through. Every time he gasps and shakes his head, when he doesn't know what to say, you feel it. Here's where I must confess that I didn't watch this as a series. Someone online has combined all eight episodes into a spectacular movie. If you can find it, it's really well done. I didn't know it was a series until I came to imdb. Another refreshing thing about this film/series is that all to often in gay themed movies, they throw in a gratuitous sex scene to support a weak storyline, this is just the opposite. Two young PEOPLE just slowly fall for each other. No one actually uses the word "gay" in the series/movie. It's what the world should be verses what it is. I don't know her characters name but the actress that plays Jin Won's female friend is also spectacular. She watches everything that's happening between them and it helps move their story along. As someone stated in another review, I wish they would've shown some flashbacks to support Go Sangha to give him a little more depth. It's not necessary just would've been a good addition to a great story. The music is also great to set the mood for what is happening between them. I can't say anymore great things about this movie without it becoming a spoiler review. I'll leave you with this, if you want to see a great wholesome movie, that shows us what the world would look like without homophobia, without unnecessary drama, without gratuitous sex scenes, in my honest opinion it's a great movie.
