The Plead

Not a bad film and crazy and wild but I couldn't get used to the editing. It kept throwing me off and I didn't like the editing. It kept taking me out of the film and I won't watch again because of it.

I don't usually write reviews but I watched The Plead from the live stream and wanted to support the filmmakers.

I must say The Plead might be the strangest film I've ever seen and I've seen some strange ones. I didn't quite understand everything but sometimes that's a good thing.

I have never seen a film like this though and that's what I liked most about it.

There were times where I wasn't sure I would get through THE PLEAD because it didn't seem like it was going anywhere. I felt at times it was just wandering and meandering in directions that were leading to nowhere. I wasn't sure if there was even an actual story at one point or another because it kept going back and forth in between nothingness. But as the story kept going on, and things kept being revealed, I wasn't sure if it was still going nowhere or if it was actually leading to a final conclusion or not. It wasn't until the very end that I thought this movie was genius. It has an incredible twist at the end that brings the whole movie together. It's worth hanging in there until the very end because the ending is what really brings it full circle. A great film because of the ending.

Funny how I found this film. I was scrolling through Plex and realized I knew one of the actors in it from many many years ago. A very odd film. It had an offbeat feeling that was likable though, where as some films that are like this are very distasteful but i really dug the vision the whole way through. At times the extreme close ups seemed to be a bit too much, however I know that in the classic sense of any Noir type of film, those close ups are always there and they are part of the elements that make any true film noir type of film. Also, I was pleasantly surprised with the acting. I thought I was walking into your usual bad acting low budget film but not at all with this one. The chemistry drew me in from beginning to end.

I wasn't sure what I felt about this film until I finally understood what was going on and then I thought it was pretty smart. Very well acted too for such a low budget film which the acting is usually not good in films with a low budget. Not everyones cup of tea, but it was mine.
