Towards the ending, Michael Madsen's character (the only decent actor in this slop) says "this world is a cruel and unforgiving place." It sure is when movies like this are being made.
Aside from the horrible writing - riddled with plot and technical issues and sloppy dialogue, the directing was terrible, especially the choppy action scenes. But most annoying, were the washed out colors and 80's slow-mo scenes. Never mind this being a B film, it felt more like a 5th grade drama class production.
Paul Sloan seemed to have trouble staying awake for most part of the film, and I can't figure out if Richard Dreyfuss was drunk, and/or on some bad meds. Clearly he was in this only for the paycheck.
The only decent qualities this film had going for it, was the well-paced 82 min runtime, and the score, which is usually loud, overbearing and unfitting - typical in B films.
This mess is a huge pass, and a generous 3/10 from me.

A stranger comes into town, is beaten up for being a stranger coming into town, is arrested, escapes, murders in cold blood the man responsible for the accidental(!) overdose of his drugged out daughter, and is pursued for that murder. Oh, plus the government water deal is now in jeopardy for some reason, despite being entirely unrelated to anything going on and the viewer not knowing enough about the deal to care one way or the other.
Lots of people speak. Lots of people die. Lots of the audience snores.
Three stars for decent acting all around. Richard Dreyfuss appears. I can only imagine he's repaying a debt or is related to one of the D-listers onscreen. No stars for the "good guy" being at least as despicable as the "bad guys", leaving us no one to care about. Three stars.

It was just an awful, awful movie
Horrible script to start with. Implausible.
Just don't even know where to start with how dumb this was. They stole some elements from Rambo, First Blood, but they could not even make them right.

Really this film is awful. Dreyfus' metoo problems mean the roles he is being offered are junk films with the usual suspects of other actors who only do junk.
And what is it with action films where the lead action figures do not even know how to hold a firearm (tea cupping)??

When I started the movie and saw the red Sagan logo I said uh-oh. Then I saw Michael Madison's name and I knew it was over. The movie begins in a strangely color filtered strip club. It's so washed out that the blue tinge is the only thing keeping it from being black and white.
The strippers were low budget as well with one having a rump so large and jiggly that even a club in the ATL would have trouble containing it. Also Karen is in this(the actress formerly known as Tayra Manning), looking very much like a Karen.
