A Boere-Krismis

Johan Vermaak does the worst possible pathetic attempt at an Afrikaans accent (speaking English - he speaks Afrikaans fine), why did they not cast a real Afrikaans person? That spoiled the whole movie for me. Even so, the rest of the plot is weak and I was not convinced or taken in. No real comedy, you can see the actors reaching. Sad, because this had potential.

It went nowhere very VERY slowly, had soOoo much potential to be funny but just wasn't good in the slightest. No one cares about the main character yet the whole movie is about her- she was made to be selfish and unlikable- thats 101 of character development. Its very poorly executed- I wish I could have the 2 hours back. Not worth watching if you haven't already. The main character is so unlikable. Condescending and superior. Acting is sub par and over reaching to be funny and misses the mark. Great idea but poor execution. Pity.
