A Picture Perfect Wedding

This film came on directly after a government announcement about the Covid level 4 lockdowns and yet somehow even after that it was still the worst thing I saw all day.

Despite a charismatic lead in Emily Tenant, there just wasn't enough content or supporting cast to make it a winner.

I absolutely felt the same as a few other recent comments I just saw... It seemed as if it could have really been pretty good. Emily Tenant is definitely a talent and with watching, but she can't carry the entire thing by herself.

The content/script was shy, and there could definitely been some better delivery on what decent content did exist.

Still it it was enjoyed, but likely not one I'd choose to watch a second time.

Emily Tenant is an 8 here, the rest of the movie gets a 5... Overall, a 6.

I'm not really big on weddings / wedding movies, but this one had a few good twists. Despite the extra hurdles of the pandemic, this show is beautifully produced in all aspects. No matter what the setbacks, amazing things can always happen, so hang on in there. If you like to watch at the portrayed time of year, this story is set around August 12, as the Perseid Meteor Shower briefly features. The movie had the ingredients to create a good drama: a girl worrying about her career, a nasty would-be-sponsor, a love rival, a father-son incomprehension, etc.... Unfortunately, the script wanders around the issues, the characters are inconsistent and all dissolves into an end where meek people blend in a nirvana of senses. What could have been stimulating delivers sleep.

I actually fell asleep watching it the 1 st time and had to rerun it to watch. I felt the writer went down a list of necessary plot lines for writing romance movies and checked them off as he/she wrote. Nothing was remotely romantic nor enjoyable to watch, especially the lack of chemistry between the two leads. For me, the male lead came across as immature and his facial contortions during some scenes overpowered the dialogue. This really could have been an enjoyable movie with an interesting premise with a more experienced writer, director & cast. Most of this one was just silly. I did enjoy the location & house where filmed .
