After the death of their friends, a group of social media influencers living in a special house that they film in decide the time is right to bring a new figure into the group to help their image, but when they start dying by a mysterious killer they must figure out their plan and stop it.
This was a decent enough if entirely problematic slasher effort. Among the few positives here stem from the general second half where the different interactions come together and the killer's game starts coming together. Following the lengthy setup involving the group coming together, getting the new girl involved, and the way they slowly succumb to the stakes of the game, the setups feature the masked madman moving through the shadows of the darkened house striking others in short, quick ambushes that are decidedly fun enough. The series of reveals that come about how they're trapped inside, the different quests that are intended to play out, and the encounters that come about from the immensely effective mask that leaves a striking impression, this all comes off fairly well for what it is. Beyond this, there's not much to enjoy here. The main factor against it is the typical series of utterly infuriating and flat-out unlikable group of people we're forced to follow. Thinking that it's fine to approach this with the modern assortment of influencers who are far more preoccupied with getting followers on their accounts, producing obnoxious prank videos or skits for their fans, and relying on confrontational behavior against anyone who tries to disrupt their quest for stardom manages to give this the kind of approach that supposedly makes them appealing and likable. Nothing that happens throughout the film changes this either so whenever this starts trying to make them sympathetic the idea of each other backstabbing and betraying each other with illicit affairs or scandalous drug deals doesn't help anything. As well, there's also the whole idea that it feels immensely off structurally with how this one feels. The first half hour is nothing but the group being insanely aggravating and annoying without much deviation so it takes forever to get started and rushes through the idea of the killer going through the group as it spends ten minutes with the ending credits coming across as a way to eat up the running time more than anything. It's a bizarre structure that doesn't make any sense and it never recovers with a horde of cliches in how the group takes their cues and their different revelations in principle are so bothersome there's not much excitement to be had from the idea they're supposed to reveal everything which makes for a disappointing time. With a lack of general blood or gore in the kills, these all manage to bring this one down.
