I mean, is a romcom so you cannot expect much of it.
The plot is totally predictable, the dialogs are weak, the side characters don't add too much to the story, everyone's missing deepness, the female protagonist wardrobe feels pretty limited.
Also, there're so many situations that feel so unrealistic, even for movies standards, and the end left a huge problem unresolved.
So, is probably a great movie for children and teenagers, you know, when you're in an age you don't question so often what's going on with movie's plots, or if you are extremely bored and want to turn off your brain a little, or simply cause you're really into cliche romcoms.

Mena Massoud plays Aladdin once again... in reverse. Or should I say he plays a male version of Jasmine? Instead of playing a "street rat" trying to woo a princess, he's a real prince with an arranged marriage he doesn't want. He finds out he has nothing to fear outside his "palace" and enjoys life on the street with his incredibly blunt and hilarious hair stylist, that he falls for. This movie was surprisingly not that bad, though I don't think I would've watched if it weren't Valentines Day. Though it was a pleasant movie to giggle at at times, the story, screenplay and performances really just made this another Netflix head-scratcher to me.
This is like a RomCom from the 1960's, aimed at 12 year-old girls. It's not that it was bad, it just was so predictable it isn't funny. Within five minutes, you know exactly what's going to happen. Absolutely no surprises. It was kind of cute, except for the overdone Brooklyn and Texas accents which got on my nerves. If you're looking for something sappy and cute for the family, you might enjoy this one.
A script that goes out of its way to touch as many cliches as possible, a supporting cast that seems to have a shared goal of extreme over-acting to highlight the two-dimensionality of their characters, and an overall execution without a coherent vision all conspire to make sure that the chemistry that actually exists between the two lead characters is completely drowned out.
Hallmark has done these Prince romcoms to death. This one was ok, but could have been better. While the two leads were fine, why were so many of the secondary characters written as such big buffoons? Not the actors fault, but the writers and director could have elevated the whole production to something much better.$

- GaffesNear the start, Prince Thomas mentions the wedding dinner for 800 guests. The wedding set-up is clearly not set up for anything close to that number.
