40% is the movie and 60% is just title track playing in the background. Average acting and average dialogue delivery. I though it would change punjabi cinema but hell no.
The only character that is good is the just Snowman itself. Everything else seem pushed to complete movie.
Just to increase the length of the movie, the title track is being played in the whole movie with the slow mo.
I had great expectations from this movie.
Rana Ranbir is a good actor and writer and the reason I went to watch the first show of the movie.
Direction could be better also if they get good actors. May be then this movie will get good reviews.

I went into this movie blind and I'm hesitant to even call it a movie.
Firstly the good) Concept is okay at BEST, and they chose a beautiful place to film the movie. It looks great. Some drone shots are well done, and credits song was fine. Plus Rana Ranbir the only actual actor in this mess cleans up as much as he can with what he's given.
The Bad) ALOT As others say it's 10% movie 90% songs. On top of that while the songs are playing the visual is just the actors/actresses just staring into the distance looking "cool". Music is repetitive as well with some songs literally translating to "What is happening" over and over again. Of course the "snowman" over and over again.
Acting is also incredibly weak. Never understood the reason of forcing a Punjabi character to speak English and vice versa. Let them speak in a language they're comfortable with over broken English/Punjabi. Ruins scenes. As well line delivery is so flat at times it's sad. You know a intense movie is bad when I'm laughing at line deliveries and acting choices. As said before Rana Ranbir is a shining star in the movie but is bogged down by the writing.
Writing needed honestly like 1-2 months of just refinement. Everything feels so forced as "this happened because it had to happen". Sometimes characters will act out of character just to suit the "story". It's odd to say the least. Ontop of that towards the ends 2-3 characters are added for no reason? It's again forced to suit the "shock" ending. Also 1 hour 20 mins run time? That's it? Factoring in all the songs + credits it's AT MAX 40 mins of actually move
Editing is jarring. Any tense scenes are ruined by worthless cuts to another plot.
Ending is laughably bad like actually I was laughing at how dumb it was. Any sensible plot/motive is thrown out the window for a "cool twist". Also a "To be continued" with quite literally nothing to go off is the worst thing ever.
TLDR: Don't waste your money on this movie a 1 hour bore fest. The only movie where the whole theatre was talking towards the end out of boredom. I feel bad as it's a smaller cast and budget but some stuff is inexcusably bad. I gave it a star for Rana Ranbir and the filming location. Hopefully we won't see a Snowman 2.

I had such high expectations from this movie! This was the first time punjabi cinema tried to do something different. The story seems like a two year old child wrote it. The only good actor was Rana Ranbir which was expected given his experience. Neeru was good as well. All other newbie actors were a pain to watch. Some actors were laughing during serious scenes. Horrible dialog delivery. Overall, such a disappointment. Hopefully they do humanity some justice and don't make a second part because literally no one will come watch it. The ending did not make sense...there was a lot going on and not enough explanation.
Only one good thing about this movie - Neeru Bajwa. She looked amazing throughout the movie. Sorry, but the rest was awful, particularly the dramatic music, what was the all about?? The plot was ridiculous. Everything was just slow motion and loud dramatic music! Best to steer clear (unless you're a fan of Neeru's) With the exception of MOH - which was crazy good), Punjabi movies are a let down more often than not - such a shame. Did see Criminal, also with Neeru, that was a similar type of film but slightly better. This film just became farcical, didn't make any sense at all. Don't do it, 'snow point'
Snowman is a captivating Punjabi film that brilliantly combines the thrills of an adrenaline-pumping storyline with the chilling beauty of breathtaking cinematography. Directed by the visionary AMAN KHATKAR, this movie takes the audience on an unforgettable journey through the majestic snow-capped mountains of BC canada, where suspense and emotion intertwine like the intricate patterns of a snowflake.
From the very first frame, Snowman grips you with its stunning visuals. The cinematography is nothing short of mesmerizing. Each shot feels like a postcard from a winter wonderland, with sweeping landscapes that capture the serene beauty of the snowy terrain while also evoking a sense of isolation that perfectly complements the film's tension. The clever use of light and shadow creates an eerie atmosphere, enhancing the film's thrilling moments while making the viewer shiver in both excitement and fear.
At the heart of this gripping narrative is the powerhouse performance by the lead actor Arshi Khatkar.
