Had hopes...those were so dashed. Typical dinner party/get money plot with 6 people and a very werid host. They kept showing a girl in a bathroom on the floor covered and tied up....we never find out who this person is or why. Little story line with no sense. Love the butler, but who is he really. The guy that is the host...sorry, but if ugly had a stick it would beat itself silly. The back and forth with the dinner party and police scenes were just terrible. I did like the twist, but the rest of the story is bland at best. I did get if 5 stars since I didn't fall asleep during this one. Love the house. If you are bored please watch it, otherwise do your nails.
Wow really? This is streaming on Freevee but it's called 'MOST HORRIBLE THINGS at the moment. That's a huge difference from 'Love Hurts' . Wow. -1 Star for the name change. So right off the bat we're at 4/10.
So some weirdo invites 6 dinner guests and pays them 10k each up front to be there. Weirdo promises them that love is in the air. Oh wait he didn't pay them up front, he promised them 10k to attend. What a ripoff.
Oh well it picked up a notch when the weirdo offered the dufus mechanic an upstairs room with a girl +1 Star!
So the weirdo is trying to make love connections amongst his paid guests? What a weirdo!
Oh I did not see that end coming! But this movie was a bit too all over the place. Even so.... 5/10.

I LOVE a horror movie with a twisted ending and this did not disappoint. I don't understand all the bad reviews. I will be watching this again. It was so good!!!!!!! It is definitely worth the watch. The acting on some of the people was sub par but I was intrigued from the very moment the movie started. I was glued to the television. I was very shocked by the ending. I never expected it. Do yourself a favor and at least give this movie a chance. Yes, it is low budget but some of the best horror movies in my opinion have been low budget. The gore isn't extreme but. I love movies like this and I'm very disappointed in its ratings. Maybe I'm in the minority here but I really liked it.
Within minutes I disliked all the characters, & as the film progressed, they just got worse.
I don't know if they were all meant to be unlikeable, I assumed that you were meant to be at least enthused about any of them, but it didn't happen.
Six people go to a meal with an over the top Micheal Jackson style host (also unlikeable), who offers them money to do dumb things.
I was surprised I managed to last to the halfway point before giving up. There didn't seem to be any story as such, just a series of 'events' happening.
Oh, & they pretty much spoiled the so called story, by not showing it chronological order.
It's watchable ish at best if there's nothing better to be doing & you've got something else to be doing, like a crossword.

This is a very curious movie. It's meant to be a sinister horror/thriller, with an eccentric who invites a group of random persons for a dinner party in his mansion, under the pretense that they will be paid 10.000 dollar if they will experience an "emotional breakthrough". Then, in the course of the evening, he starts provoking them, playing with their minds and revealing some of their hidden personal secrets. This causes some of them to snap and totally lose control; as a result eventually blood flows, and worse.
This may sound interesting, and is does have potential, but the execution is really bad. The pace is way too slow, the photography is lackluster, and especially the acting is below every par. Only the host (Sean Sprawling) and his butler (Simon Phillips) do a good job, but the actors playing the guests are all terrible. The script is very talkative, and the whole movie is very low on action.
Biggest let-down is the lack of any comprehensible or relatable motive for the host (or for his commissioner, as a twist at the end of the movie reveals) for their actions. The interrogation by the two police-detectives doesn't really help in getting answers, they are so awkward and amateurish that the result is hardly surprising.
In fact, my only positive feeling concerns Sean Sprawling: as the gender-fluid androgynous host his (their) attitude, gestures and dialogues are almost theatrically choreographed, and lend him (them) a definite, larger than life charisma. But that alone wasn't enough to save this disappointing project.
