Reviewers say 'Porno y Helado' is a quirky Argentinian sitcom capturing millennial Buenos Aires culture. It is praised for clever writing, unique humor, and catchy music. Martín Piroyansky, Ignacio "Nachito" Saralegui, and Sofía Morandi shine with charm and comedic timing. The series boasts bright visuals and technical excellence. However, some criticize the second season for script, budget, and repetitive plot issues, though it remains a refreshing South American TV addition.

Very funny. Piroyanski really knows about entertainment, the film was produced in Aegentina and Uruguay and i like it. Great actors, locations, soundtracks, characters. Definitely a good one to see with friends!
A clear case of a series that, without being a big deal, managed to hook more than one person with its first season.
Its freshness, simple humor (very simple at times) managed to capture my attention.
Its initial story, as simple as it was, was well-woven. At the same time, with the appropriate cameos, it managed to become a kind of phenomenon in Argentina/Uruguay and nearby areas.
How did we go from that to this second horrible season? The answer surely comes hand in hand with the meager budget that was clearly given to them.
It is cheaper in every way, script, dialogues, plots, locations where it is filmed. Few cameos unlike the previous season.
All this results in repetitive plots, without grace, with isolated self-contained chapters: the sect of the Rolling Stones fans, the scammer, the storm, etc., etc.
It does not seem that there is a minimum interest in bringing the plot to a good end.
The end? A total nonsense, both the trial and everything that happens, it is absurd, but not absurdly funny but boring, repetitive, without ideas.
The last thing with the DeLorean taxi and Harry paying homage to Doc makes no sense, it goes against everything the series was up to that point.
It seems to me that there is no way to revive the series, it will surely be cancelled and if they are given more budget I can't imagine how they will do the future...maybe they will invent that it was all a dream? It would be the most logical way to fix that horrible ending.
For me the first season is a 7 and the second a 3.

Hilarious series that tells the story of a group of unsuccessful thirtysomethings. Some scenes are very very funny. The story is told in the city of Buenos Aires with many features of the millennial and the argentinian culture (fight uber vs taxis, economic crisis, 30's crisis, get rich, specialty coffees, be cool, rock band, etc etc).
Abrazo Martin Piro!

If you want to watch something that is silly and where you don't have to think about anything, then yes watch it. It has a very silly and simple humor. I rescue the themes that they composed, are very catchy.
Summary
Modern and ingenious comedy by Martín Piroyansky that unfolds a multitude of situations and characters, many times with a parodic register and always with perfect timing.
Review
Pablo (Martín Piroyansky) and Ramón (Ignacio "Nachito" Saralegui) are two thirtysomething single friends who get together every Friday to watch porn movies and have ice cream. But when they go to a taxi bar they link up with Cecilia (Sofía Morandi), a small-time swindler who sees the opportunity to form a rock band with them to run it and profit from it. The detail is that the two friends are not musicians...
This is the trigger for what could generally be defined as a sitcom, but it is much more than that. Martín Piroyansky writes, directs and co-stars in a modern and very Buenos Aires comedy that perfectly captures many generational elements of millennialism in Buenos Aires (although shot in Montevideo and Punta del Este).
The tone goes from the naive to the perverse, depending on the situations and the multitude of characters that parade, with figures from the under and not so much in small roles and even cameos. It is necessary to name, among many others, Susana Giménez incarnating the despotic and millionaire wife of a candidate for president (a character surely quite similar to her) who enjoys (and suffers from) a curious and funny sexual fetishism and Jimena Anganuzzi in a character absurdly far removed from his physique du rol.
Parodic moments abound (it is better not to advance the topics and genres) in a succession of very well scripted short chapters that are pure happiness and that boast moments of very ingenious humor. And since we are talking about a fake band that ultimately ends up playing, some original musical themes will parade that will be very difficult to get out of your head as part of a great musicalization in general.
The technical bill is impeccable: the series, with its bright colors, is also a feast for the eyes and its timing is perfect. The three protagonists are very good: Pablo and Cecilia are revealing their nuances not exempt from miseries, although perhaps the discovery of the series is the almost imperturbable and endearing Ramón de Ignacio Saralegui.
Porno y Helado is one of those series that you can also enjoy when you see it again and perhaps it will have a cult following.
