An art house anime
Fairly entertaining and really experimental. It's peaceful to watch and captivating, the characters are amazingly written even though some are not getting enough attention.
The plot is its weakest part against casual viewers looking for something exciting and simple to watch. This show is complex to the point of confusing sometimes, but it stays consistent, entertaining and is simply a really good idea well written and really meaningful.
The animation is spotless and the overall look is refreshing and stunning.
I don't know, I just love it.

Beautiful but confusing.
All of the students at a school suddenly find themselves teleported to another world - now it's time to find out how this happened and whether there is a way back.
The name of the anime "Sonny Boy" didn't become clear to me after I finished the anime, but that's not really important.
I really like "Sonny Boy" in terms of art style. The bright colors in the surroundings make the simple school uniforms look beautifully out of place.
I also really liked the fact that they used a very simple character design. There are no crazy hairstyles with bright hair colors and huge eyes, as is not uncommon in anime, but simply the image of average people.
Speaking of the characters, I also really liked their personalities. The characters aren't particularly deep, but they just seem very human in the way they handle things and express themselves.
The anime tries a special narrative technique, which I find very commendable because I like it when series dare to do something different, but unfortunately I didn't really warm to this narrative technique here. The anime often confused me because it was difficult to find the story. It probably would have taken more episodes to get used to it.
I really like the premise, but unfortunately the potential of it is only moderately exploited.
If the anime were longer and the story was deeper, this would probably be a breathtaking anime. So it remains a good anime, but unfortunately nothing more.

Hard to rate
This show is hard to wrap my head around. So much stuff happened, and a lot of it I didn't really know what it was. The first 4 episodes were much easier to grasp and had more of a coherent story, then it gets very experimental. Animation is great, it's a chill anime despite it having some deep themes, themes which will very between viewers.
For me I usually don't like this very open ended metaphorical weird for no reason stories, but for some reason I did enjoy this one more, though towards the end it felt so much like a crazy dream that I just gave up on trying to make sense of it.
The characters imo are mostly pretty interesting which is what I think kept me somewhat engaged throughout despite everything else, well the characters aside from the male lead.

deep and meaningfull
It's simply awesome,
Has vibes of The Lord of Flies, but not that violent,
Authors get deep into characters and human psycology i general, keeping it entertaining and full of little pleasant surprises.
Bravo.
Bravo.
One of the most slept on shows of the summer 2021 season
This show so far has not ceased to surprise me, every time after finishing an episode I'm in shock of just how awesome each episode is. The storyline as of august 1st 2021 is going strong there are a few things that don't make sense believe it or not it makes sense that they don't make sense a lot of the time. It just shows that it is absolutely incredible, not just the story but the art too.
