Same old, same old.

Seen the same storyline a dozen times before, nothing new. Also, the main lead is too smiley and cheerful for someone with a broken heart. Downright annoying. Actually, everyone is smiling all the time. Everything seems fake and nothing seems real. Loved the clothes, though. Hope to see more of the main lead's friend, who is a really fit lady for her age, and does a decent job of delivering even the cringeworthy dialogues.

Sooooo bad!

I created an IMDb account just to write this review...it was that bad. The acting is terrible, despite having two well known actresses. The cinematography was awful, all the beyond cheesy slow mo's were embarrassing to watch. The script isn't great. But probably the worst thing is the music. The most awful, cringy music I've ever heard in a movie. Sorry but it's true. I could not stop watching because it was like watching a train wreck. The two stars are for the beautiful scenery of wherever they filmed this. Perhaps they spent the majority of the movie budget on location instead of everything else. I love cheesy, predictable Hallmark movies but oh my gosh this was so terrible!

Worst songs ever!

Oh my gosh, I laughed so hard when I read Crachels-59225 post, because I came searching for comments about the music in this film. Seriously, I typed the name of the movie and "worst songs ever" in my Google search. The songs are beyond cringe. The acting is bad too. Like crashels-59225, I created this account just to share this. That's how bad the songs are! I felt compelled to warn you. Lol! I'm surprised the lead took this role. I've seen her in other roles where I thought she did a good job. She hasn't had all the botox, fillers, which is a good thing, but it stands out because we are so used to seeing zero wrinkles on women in Hollywood.

Worst movie i've ever seen

Created an account just so I could give this a horrible rating and save the next person the pain of watching this. I LOVE cheesy and predictable hallmark movies and thought that's what I was getting when i turned this on but the acting was truly so awful it made Hallmark movies seem like Oscar winners. It was so bad it seemed like they were actually trying to act poorly and the chemistry was zero. I had to turn it off because I felt such horrible secondhand embarrassment for the actors. The most cringe thing you will ever see - I've seen the actors in other stuff so I know they're capable but whatever happened when this movie was created was truly horrific.

What did i just watch

I genuinely have secondhand embarrassment for everyone involved in A Week in Paradise. The screenwriters, the actors, the actresses, and especially whoever thought it was a great idea to use songs that even your grandma would throw a fit over. I can't even begin to explain the soul-crushing disappointment of wasting 100 minutes of my life on this cinematic dumpster fire. Even my 80-year-old mother, who normally thrives on trashy Hallmark movies, told me to change it. Yes, that bad. Please, do yourself a favor and save your sanity. Your time is better spent watching paint dry or picking up a mills and boon special!

More music than acting

Created an IMDB account purely to leave this review. It's like for half the film they didn't want to pay the actors extra by giving them actual lines, so they play melodramatic music over zoomed in facial shots and even on scenes that could use actual words in them! Whoever orchestrated the music had more of a job than the script writers that's for sure. I've seen multiple of these actors in different films and they weren't this bad, I can only assume it's the directing which leaves a lot to be desired. If you like films with constant close up facial shots with awful backing music then crack on, if not, avoid!

At least it was clean

The main actresses are usually great so I don't hold it against them, a gig's a gig right? Malin's eyelashes were perfect though and Connie makes me look forward to being over 50 if I could look like that.

The first song was the beginning of the end, (the boat scene to the island.) couldn't figure out if it was an old classic or a new poorly written one for the film. Lost me there

But again, lovely actresses and they're better than this and we all know it.

What the hell did I just watch

I'm laughing because like so many others have stated, I literally just made this account so I could review this movie. I love Malin Akerman so I was going through her filmography, and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have been able to sit through the whole thing. I'm also laughing because, like others have stated, I just could not get over how horrible the music choices were. There's this one scene, where this epic-type music is playing, think end of a war movie where loved ones are finally reunited or something, and what scene in this movie is it playing over, you ask? Them using a shovel in a garden to dig up a yam!!!
