    Amazing and necessary documentary

This film could save your life or that of a loved one and is a definite must watch.

It aligns with my experiences in eating. That is the more quality fresh food that you eat and this next bit is my own take "by eating less or smaller portions" the better you will feel. Life extensionists will attest to the eating less formula.

The broad picture is nothing any of us don't already know essentially that eating healthy will make you healthy. You are what you eat! The film explores high dosages of nutrients in combating cancer and that this methodology has proved successful. Watch the film to catch reference to studies.

After watching this ANYONE who has loved one(s) who are sick and dying of cancer will be searching furiously for the studies that show nutrition supplementation AND a wholesale change in lifestyle and diet might just be what can save their life.

How the medical industry calculates "cancer survivors" which is another scam pushed on to the public is also covered, as is the excellent discussion on the disease industry which is more about needing sick people to care and prescribe drugs to rather than preventing illness.

You are what you eat. Change your lifestyle for a happy healthy life

I am inspired. I am motivated. I love watching this documentary, even though it's the fifth time I've seen it. Watching this has been on my to-do list for a long time. And, am I glad I saw it! I showed it to many of my friends and we all wholeheartedly agreed that this is a documentary we want to see a few times a year. It's that good! Every time I see it, I hear something new. And for the stuff I've already heard, it just further ingrains it in my sub consciousness and I feel myself internalizing its details more and more. I walk away feeling strong, smart, and empowered about my lifestyle decisions, albeit a bit frustrated at times because not enough people know this information.

I pretty much hang on every line of Food Matters. I love the discussion of vitamins and the vital role vitamin C can play in helping fight illness at various quantities. It was fascinating to learn about the therapeutic effects of niacin, and its history as a cure for depression with the founder of Alcoholics Anonymous. There is so much more that I could write but you should see it for yourself. It's fantastic!

    Absolutely Unbelievable!!!

I am a mother of four kids, and our family has a slew of health problems. After my husband got out of the hospital for gallstones, we started reading up on natural ways to get rid of gallstones, and stumbled upon this movie. We were enchanted. The information in this movie is such an eye opener. I also recommend watching "The Beautiful Truth"...what an epiphany! I want to just give this movie to everyone I know so we can all start being healthy. Our family is no different from everyone else-food wise. We have always tried to eat well, buy our kids healthy things to eat, etc. Little did we know that buying organic food and eating uncooked food was the key! We have been eating nothing but organic food for a week and a half and we feel great! My husband's gallstone pain is GONE...completely gone! I can now eat salad without any pain (I have diverticulitis). Two of my kids have ADHD and ADD, and they are CALMER already! I can't believe we've been poisoning ourselves all this time. The food industry is just a big money making lie!!!! Please watch this and other documentary's on food, it's a life change!

Scary to mix science with innuendo and fear ... 2/10

In general I support a lot of the "emotional tone" of this movie. I do think in many cases the medical industry has turned into the sickness industry. For an example of that you can watch a movie called the "Widowmaker" about a man who developed a scan to determine if you have cardiac disease risk and it was ignored.

A lot of stuff that is cheap and effective, such as diet, is being ignored so we can keep playing this food drug pusher game with people and making them sick.

There is that going on in the world, and in our country.

But, you have to go at something like that very carefully and factually. Right away in this movie the woman Charlotte Gerson talked about there being 52 nutrients that plants need to survive. Well, science only knows about 18 of them. I listed them, they are well known, and it is not mystery how they were found.

She did not mention any of the elements outside of the 18, but insinuated that lack of these nutrients causes cancer and disease.

That is when I turned the movie off. When a writer or director does not vet their guests or their facts, and decides to go with statements made in this movie without qualifying them or explaining them, I think that is disinformation and manipulation.

There is a lot of that in the nutrition industry. There are people that tell you that any and everything can cure cancer, or cause cancer.

I gave this movie a 2 because it is not super-terrible or unwatchable, but it is dishonest in my opinion and did not check or explain its facts. Skip it and watch other movies, but more importantly, keep you thinking cap on, and anything that sounds fishy, look up and try to find out more about. Don't believe anything based on authority.

Don't Throw Out the Baby with the Bath Water

I give this 7 and not a 10 because I don't know about some of the claims made within the program (healing properties, miracles claims). I'm really unconcerned with the smaller details and examples presented in the film, because the message is spot-on. This country is sick. Just look around. MOST Americans are fat. Yes, most. Most are unhealthy at best. The greatest thing one can do for health is to consume a vegetable-based, whole foods diet. This is not even a question. This is common knowledge. Construct a diet plan that focuses on real, raw vegetable matter, followed by fats (yeah, you need plenty of 'real' fats too) and proteins (appropriate meats. yes, you were also born to eat some meat. there are processes at work within YOUR body that are solely present within carnivores). This is obviously how we were born to eat, but people have gotten so far away from this for convenience sake, etc. At the end of the day, setting aside some of the film's details, the core message is absolutely correct: eat correctly in order to live longer and healthier. Common sense.
