Nitham Oru Vaanam

It's been so long I watched a movie with so much eager and smile plastered on to my facee! I loveeedddddd Ashok Selvan's acting...his character development was soo good! Ritu Varma was like a fresh breath of air! But my absolute favourite was the Aparna Balamurali's Mathi story line!! She is an outstanding actress! The way they nailed the regional language was beautiful!

Each and every character was soo fulfilling and put a smile on my face! Life is soo simple! Accept the sad realities in the best way possible to make a wonder out of it! Kudos to the Director Karthik! Must watch if you are looking to feel happy from the inside!

Ashok Selvan and wonderful music score by Gopi Sunder are the pillars of this slow burn movie. This soul searching movie fails a big time, because you don't feel for the protagonist to come out of his negative phase.

Depression don't work like others who are worse are doing positive, so you please buckle up. There is lack of emotional connect with characters for this kind of movie.

The writers have gone into depth explaining why Ashok Selvan is playing in short stories and why characters are different in reality, which hardly adds any kick to the narration.

This movie could have worked if the premise was well established in the beginning.

Film starts with two unknown characters getting introduced and the boy opening up. An OCD , introvert , negative guy with an aborted wedding in the eleventh hour is into his own imaginations and goes to meet his imaginary characters in their real life as per his psychiatrist advice. Here starts the movie and the boy meets the bubbly girl, again a love failure girl in the busstand . Rithu Verma handles her role with Ease. This funfilled , positive and pretty girl joins Arjun and imbibes her positive qualities in him. Serious Arjun explores the present day situation of his imaginary characters and learns the lesson of his life with his lively companion. The ending is poetic with camera doing its best in the later part. Jeeva ,Abirami and Azhagam perumal provide additional strength to the cast.

Ashok Selvan is at his best in this characters. No action But captivating performance.

Worth watching with family.

This movie Nitham Oru Vaanam is well Narrated. Script is very Unique and Fresh.

Movie concludes that, Life is not about living with Depression and dying with depression, it's all about how we deal with the different kinds of challenges and push ourselves to climb up the ladder in life and keep enjoying the life the way we wanted.

Hats of to the director Karthik to bring this script to a reality.

Music is well aligned to the situation and scenes.

Cinematography by Vidhu Ayanna need to be appreciated.

Every character in this movie have given their best of their Acting performance. Not to mention single actor to take the credit in this movie, so it's the entire actor & actress crew have done their performance on a unique level

If you're an introvert then this film is specially made for you, it is a feel-good travel movie on life, and it might probably change your life if you take messages out of film-watching.

The film takes several turns by portraying 2 short stories within the main story/plot, one with a serious tone & another with a humorous tone that itself gives us a mixed/complete/satisfied feeling of having watched a good movie as the short film portions were well made with nice character performances.

The script and its execution felt so neat & clean with a linearly conveyed story but with non-linear narration, this is probably one of the reasons why it keeps held till the end.

Another reason is the places the movie takes us into and the kinda travel the characters get into, it feels so surreal and connects with us so easily and the better part is that the travel feels so real as it was made by a common person's perspective by showcasing the roads & buses they travel through with the zipped-in night stay at Himalayas with a camp-fire and casual way of having pani puris and taking breaks and so on, so many little things well made that add up to make the film natural and the different/unique sceneries that are showcased feels so good and gels so well with the content as well.

I'd like to avoid talking about the negatives in this film, deliberately.

It is a well-made film on life that should be watched once in a while when life throws stones at us.
