The funniest episode so far
I believe this episode was not only the funniest of the series (so far) but the best written/executed. I watch it again and again when its re-broadcasted.
If you had watched the episodes leading up to 'this' one in sequence, you should have recognized the 'lead ins' to the jokes (i.e. the previous mention from Amy that she was working with monkey's and lung disease).
The scenes flow perfectly into each other, and while there are 2 main threads (scenes with Leonard and Pria, and those with Sheldon and Amy), they combine at the end for the hilarious finale (though only Sheldon is in both parts of the ending scenes, gluing them together).
The Sheldon and Amy character are always playing it 'straight' and serious, though the results are the funniest in the episode.
And, you have to believe that 'not all' of the parts with the monkey are CGI...

That Monkey Is Smoooooooookin'
Leonard uses Priya to go through Sheldon's roommate agreement and find loopholes. Sheldon is very smug and Priya is enjoying his discomfort. There are times when Leonard is kind of sickening. Sheldon goes out with the girls and even goes dancing (the scene with Amy is hilarious). Lots of really great bits in this one including invoking the Star Trek self destruct sequence.

- AnecdotesThe code Sheldon uses to activate the "self destruct" sequence on his laptop, 1-1-A-2-B, is the code used by Spock in Patrouille du cosmos (1966): Let That Be Your Last Battlefield (1969). The layout of the program he is using for the countdown is similar to the designs of the computer screens seen first in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987).
- GaffesWhile at the bar with Penny, Amy and Bernadette, Sheldon is asked if he has ever kissed a woman. He states that other than family he hasn't, yet in 'The Maternal Congruence' he is kissed by Leonard's drunk mother. Given Sheldon's literal-mindedness he wasn't lying (or ignoring continuity), since he wasn't the one initiating this kiss. When asked, writer Bill Prady said that the kiss doesn't count since it was forced upon Sheldon. Also, since Beverly was drunk, they had all agreed at the time not to discuss it further for Leonard's sake.

Dear Concerned Viewers,
Thanks to the magic of computer graphics, the monkey in tonight's episode was not actually smoking a cigarette, nor was he ever exposed to secondhand smoke. At all times, every effort was made to make the monkey feel happy and safe. Nevertheless, he proved impossible to work with. During the week of production his behavior became increasingly erratic, to the point of refusing to come out of his trailer to rehearse. It wasn't until after we finished filming his scenes that we learned why. The monkey is a heroin addict. Yes, hard as it may be to believe, the monkey had a monkey on his back. Thankfully, an intervention was staged by the Geico lizard and he is now going through detox and a twelve step program at the Bonzo Center in Palm Springs. Everyone at The Big Bang Theory wishes him well.
