For some reason I had little hope for this one, but once I started I just had to watch the whole thing.
There no need for a big budget when you know when you are doing and you write up a good script.
No fillers, no fluff, no vacuous metaphors, ... Enought for you to understand the characters and to make you care about them.
Yeah, it leans on some stereotypes. And that's ok. That's what stereotypes exist for.
The action is also well done as well, by the way. Nothing flashy, just effective stuff that they let you clearly see.
Perfectly well done and perfectly enjoyable.
They could have used more money to get more famous actors and more flashy unrealistic action... but to be honest it doesn't it it; I'd say that it'd even make it more showbusiness-y and less storytelling-y.
Congrats to the team. Well done you.

After looking for so long to n the past several years to find a movie without a pretentious script, more dedicated to a bias message or just bad writing I was delighted to see this pop up. Yes it involved cops being bad but at least it had some logic to it. With neither characters being utterly good or bad, they are just human. This movie felt like they were following a story and a vision instead of an agenda, as that seems to be the norm nowadays. And to me it's always impressive if you can film a whole movie in the same location and keep the story entertaining and believable. There were some plot holes but nothing that bothered me at all and that is exactly what is so hard to find. Congratulations to the writers and producers for not giving in to the mainstream.
Honestly I didn't expect much when I started watching but it was good enough to keep watching and wanted to know how it ends. Ending was a bit disappointing and needs some more work, shouldn't be predictable. I can see it's a low budget film but well made as a thriller/action movie. Money can change people's mind instantly, a pregnant girl turned into pretty violent, that a surprise. Also found out a main character played as a drug dealer died of overdose, this movie was one of his last films. He played very well in it. What a shame that he died so young. He could have a great career ahead. I think it has a good plot and entertaining.
The story had potential, but it went from unlikely to implausible. The actors were good and I was interested in most of the characters, except the guy that actually won the lottery who was a cliche snob with a tie. A lot of the dialogue was poorly written. It didn't help that there was a lot of it. Then the story descended into a morass that got less and less interesting as it got less and less likely.
I don't recommend this at all. I still gave it a couple of stars for the idea and for some of the acting. I also thought the director and cinematographer did a decent job with what was obviously a low budget.

Predictable, the acting was horrid. Sometimes you get lucky with these movies with no name actors and they turn out great. This was not one of those times. The pregnant girl was hard to watch. She is the main reason I fast forwarded. It had potential, unfortunately they didn't see that. If they would have evolved it outside of the store, it would have been a lot better. Would have been cool to see someone cash it in then try to rip everyone off by not following through with the payment and THEN everything hitting the fan. I wasn't expecting it to all stay within the store itself. Just needed more structure to give it a better base.
Sad to hear the main dude passed from an overdose.
