Cuarentones

This is just a pile of rubbish that was made to fulfill someone's fantasy and misguided belief that they can write good comedies. The acting is so over the top that it makes one cringe just to watch. Could not get beyond 10 minutes of the movie! This is another reason why the streaming platform loses subscribers.

"Cuarentones" is a film promoted as a romantic-comedy, however it is more focused on a dramatic comedy, with funny scenes but not really comical, as far as the drama is well managed and works perfectly with the message of the film: "You can't always win but you can learn from it." The performances are good, highlighting Erick Elías and surprisingly Adal Ramones shows that he has good acting qualities and is not just a comedian. The performances of outstanding actresses such as Martha Ofelia Galindo, Anabel Ferreira and Silvia Mariscal are also appreciated. A good film that without being excellent leaves a good taste in the mouth and a pleasant message.

Worst movie I have ever start watching. It is not funny at all, the plot is horrible, the production is horrible. Netflix quality just keeps going down. It is so ridiculous bad i cant even write about it here.

I couldn't watch more than 15 minutes. The comedy is bad and forced, the plot is not interesting at all. I hated the fact that the wife lying to his husband to get a father for her son was to be seen as normal and funny. It's not. Plus the main character is a misogynistic, self-centered guy who's best trait is being "funny" and "likeable" when he's not at all funny.

All women are portrayed as shallow and stupid, like they are just there to please men. All in all a bad movie.

Not a great movie. But, not entirely bad either. The writing is simplistic. The acting, with what they have, is good. The premise? Done to death. I would give it higher, but the lack of original thought just won't let me.
