Beirut after 40

Beirut After 40 is a brilliant documentary that highlights the struggles of the Lebanese people during and post explosion. Anthony's passion and talent is evident throughout the documentary as Beirut After 40 touches your soul and leaves you with tears and feelings of empathy. Absolutely love this documentary and the filmography behind it.

As a Lebanese living abroad during the time of the explosion, this movie put life to the horrors we were imagining august 4. It further put a face to a survivor, who is normally overlooked in the news, and made me feel, but for timing, that could have been me. Just months before I was walking the same streets. I appreciate this documentary's honesty and powerful message. The documentary pulled me into the screen and put me in the shoes of the survivor; I could t look away. I believe this movie is a must see for every westerner who has the luxury of a Canadian or American society and who can only imagine the pain that day brought.

The filmmaker managed to combine all emotions. Being able to see images of before (through CCTV), during and the aftermath, it gives you a different perspective. Beautifully edited, great soundtrack.

I think it's an exceptional marriage of memory, research, doubt, reconstruction, possible conflicting memories, verifiable fact and, like all true stories, a soupçon or three of fiction.

The film within the film within the film is a godsend as a construction and as a scenario. You've milked it and yet finally your film and your approach is full of humanity and (from someone as egocentric as you, my dear friend) full of humility.

You made me smile, you made me weep, you made me laugh. You provided me with an exceptional Documentary film experience that I will never forget, Anthony.

Beirut after 40 brings back the memory of the Beirut explosion from the middle of the scene. Anthony was blessed to survive the explosion and tell/film about it. It's a very touching documentary that shows what everyone went through right at the moment of the explosion and how everyone was trying to help whoever needed help. Loved the security cameras feeds it really showed a lot of the sad scenes at the moment of the explosion.
