Perhaps ambiguous in content and presentation, but perhaps the only remake in my memory in the CIS that more or less clearly expands the original story and brings it to a logical conclusion, including by rearranging some old fragments. The newly introduced comic-style inserts, as well as surreal elements, can be perceived in different ways, but subjectively, they do not spoil the overall impression. The extended segments with Bashirov and Mamonov, too.

The film's slogan probably hints at the fact that this film was assembled strictly "for its own", the same concept, apparently, was supposed to be promoted by a rather limited release with practically empty halls. In a word - if you did not understand us, then it is your own fault, as they say, we warned you. From here you can quote the expected perception of the film. I would add that this aspect can be looked at from two angles - if you make a direct comparison with the original, look for some hidden meanings, ask a rhetorical question about why it was necessary to rearrange different segments, etc., then the outcome will be somewhat predictable. If you perceive the remix in isolation from the original, as a kind of free remake without any claims to anything, another opportunity to meet the heroes of the now distant past, then the score will be a couple of points higher.
