One Night in Istanbul

I had the luck of watching this film with some Man Utd fans (of course, they only came because they were given free tickets:-)) Film is brilliant. Had many of us in stitches throughout. Steven Waddington and Paul Barber were just excellent and gave an astounding performance of their roles - best I have seen of them so far.

The film is a must for all Liverpool fans, all football fans in general and anyone who loves a good comedy. Even the Man Utd fans admitted to how great the film was and how much they enjoyed it. That says everything! Make a point of watching this if you want a good dose of fun and entertainment.

You don't have to be a Liverpool fan to enjoy this light-hearted caper, you don't even have to like football, based on the reaction of those around me. Paul Barber is a legend and everything he is involved in seems to turn to gold, I think he is a fine, under-estimated actor.

Although the film is about the Champions league Final in Istanbul in 2005 it is about the fans and the lengths they will go to to follow their team. It is about the passing down of this devotion from one generation to the next, as Tommy (Steve Waddington) and Gerry (Paul Barber) try to connect with their sons. Tommy 's own devotion having come from a strong bond with his granddad. The Liverpool fans are the twelfth man who through all adversity never gave up on their team and on their dreams. This is shown through the shenanigans of the boys and in parallel by footage of the actual fans in the stadium. All the stories, Hitlers Cufflinks, the lucky pants etc etc apparently came from the terraces. This is the fans story. It's British , it's funny , remember The Full Monty, Bend it Like Beckham, Brassed Off, well give it a go.

This is simply an amazing movie. I loved every minute of it.Story of Four Liverpool Football fans and their Journey to see Liverpool FC at the European Cup final in Istanbul 2005. I am going to suggest Specially to all Liverpool FC Fans watch it but don't keep your expectations too high. This is a funny and charming comedy.The Movie Remind us that Great Night at Istanbul 2005. Truly funny and full of Joy and happiness. Very good football feature of the year. Also Nice to see Some of our Liverpool Legends in the movie too. For people with normal expectations, its a good movie and you will enjoy it and you can watch it with your family too. I am giving it one extra star because I am Liverpool fan too. I loved it and I think you will too. Liverpool fan or not!

Hilarious times in Istanbul. What a film!!! What a night!!!

Great fun, film about some mad Reds who don't get to see the game. Whole family had a ball watching it. Took me back to the greatest final I've ever seen. Hilarious moments, and a great theme song.

Paul Barber is one funny fella.
