To long
As a low-budget gore film, it did a good job, but as other reviewers have said, it is about half an hour too long. Filled with lots of exposition and character development to the boring degree. I had to skip the occasional 10 minutes, as I would have given up. The film does not need all the filler; it's a fast-paced action genre, and this was not fast-paced. The acting and sets were good, and the Dino attacks, among other elements, were well-executed. It's a shame that someone thought over two hours was a good length; an hour and a half at most would have been better.
So much fun so much carnage! 80s are back!
So stop reading and just go, if you were wondering about this stop and go.
Yes dinosaurs and Vietnam Apocalypse now with aliens (dinosaurs) Loved it even the cheesy dialogue could take the smile of my face.it anything it made like it more.
A routine mission for this jaguar yes jaguar team go deep into enemy territory to find the answers to a lost team and like predator or alien you are in for a treat. This is full tilt epic B awesome madness.
It just get better and crazier the longer it runs.
Its like a modern the land that time forgot a movie I loved and saw in the cinemas back as a kid.
The cast was all good and considering the dialogue they had to say lol.and the soundtrack was perfect but the biggest surprise was how fanatic the dinosaurs looked so impressed with that alone.
Yes there are any faults along the way but that does not change my opinion and my rating for when it was on point it was gold.
I know not many will see it on the big screen but that a ashame because it's worth the money and time. Not because it's the best movie out because it's just a great escape from the real world.
This is cult movie stuff and also stay for the credits.

Dino Good People Bad
The film features some impressive CGI dinosaurs that are detailed and cool to watch. The visual effects carry much of the movie's entertainment value and create the strongest moments on screen.
The acting, however, is weak and they all seems to be very loud. The performances feel flat and unconvincing. Dialogue delivery lacked emotion throughout the movie.

Not perfect, but still very fun.
I have minor gripes, like the movie feels about 25 minutes too long and takes a minute to get going, but I still had a great time with this. Strong performances from the "Vultures" and some legitimately great dino action (especially for an indie film with this budget) carry this one easily. Definitely recommend.
Pleasant Surprise: Dino's. Carnage. Vietnam.
I knew for months, since seeing the first poster for Primitive War, I would see this movie in theaters. It's a real shame the release is so limited - because I could see this appealing to a broader audience.
Vietnam War. 1960s soundtrack. Dinosaurs (and PLENTY of them). Carnage. What more do you want?
Is this an Oscar contender? Maybe not.
Is it a refreshing dinosaur & popcorn flick? Absolutely.
I'll admit, I tempered my expectations and halfway expected some extra campy SyFy movie, but ended up pleasantly surprised.
The script is absurd, the characters are underdeveloped - and there's more implausibility to go around than dry turkey on Thanksgiving, but I don't care. Because tucked away are some great one-liners, a well-bonded "Vulture" team of actors (the core cast is quite good; Aaron Glenane 👀), and some surprising little nuggets of real emotion.
I loved the handful of jump scares and suspense, the score and soundtrack, the gruesome and ruthless details of death by dinosaur, and the dinosaurs! I don't know what the budget for this was, but I can't imagine it had a "Jurassic" pocketbook, yet it looks really solid.
Overall, Primitive War is something I didn't know I wanted. I'll buy it when it's available - and can see myself watching it and appreciating it more later, I'm sure.
It's a keeper!

- AnecdotesUnlike the book, the word "Utahraptor" is never outright stated. This is because Utahraptor was made public in 1993, 25 years after when the movie takes place, meaning that no one actually knew what a Utahraptor was.
- GaffesAfter Keyes is attacked and severely injured by the Raptor, his comrades take care of him. In the close-ups, he appears distressed, frantic, and agitated, and can be heard screaming. In the wide shots, he is still heard screaming, but is seen lying calmly on the ground.
