Highly entertaining, intense violence, black humor
Jackson and Reynolds make a great team here. They hate each other but their warped morals force them into a sort of symbiotic relationship as they endure a barrage of car chases, automatic weapons, and hand to hand fights to reach their goals. It's kind of an Accidental Buddy romp but chock full of violence, bad language, and inappropriate humor. Some reviews claim there wasn't enough comedy but they were apparently immune to the black comedy throughout the violence and were focused solely on one liners, which were much less frequent. I mean, if you didnt find it faf when the driver leans back to miss the bullet but gets the passenger killed, or when the chopper operator gets taken out by Kincaid as the rider gives a thumbs up, or when the ex president goes on a tangent in the courtroom about his crimes then you're immune to the plethora of black humor here.
Some reviews give low stars for the foul language and violence but why are expecting clean family fun with an R rating?
Hyack shines as the brawling Latina and the unique relationship between her and Kincaid is reminise of the rare and odd relationships that made us laugh in shows like Adams Family and My Name is Earl - couples who have great passion for each other but no one else gets it. Really, the entire film is unique in it's storyline.
I appreciated the old fashioned car chases and I'm not sure what was CGI (other than Jackson driving the boat), but it was very well edited - exciting and chaotic but no too choppy. The final correographed fight scene was excellent.
I watched Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard a few weeks ago not knowing it was a sequel. Great film on it's own. So watching this film, I actually didnt feel it got going as well as quickly but it was very entertaining. In fact, I might have to rewatch HWB now that I've seen the initial interaction and know the backstory.

Like Red Notice but funnier and has more action
Funny action movie that has a lot of swearing and guns. It is impressive and entertaining that the assassin/hitman has 93% accuracy and the bad guys have 9%. It could also be that the hitman is so good that he really doesn't miss nor get shot. Action packed, funny and worth your time.
Reynolds and Jackson were born for this moment
Wow, I was so impressed with this movie. I will admit that the first 20 minutes were pretty generic for me and I found myself thinking, "This is pretty much what I expected, but it's a free screening so just enjoy it." However, once Reynolds and Jackson team up on the screen the entire chemistry of the movie changes and it ended up being one of the funnest "buddy cop" movies I've seen in quite a while. (I know it technically isn't a buddy cop movie, but it really is for all intents and purposes.) The movie doesn't take itself seriously (were you really expecting that with Reynolds and Jackson?!), and just like any modern action/comedy the plot isn't meant to be something like Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. This movie is 100% worth spending the cash to go see in the theater with a group of people. I can also tell you this, the atmosphere leaving the theater was great; this movie is a lot of fun!
Exactly what's expected.
A lot of good action, a lot of bad language and a few laughs. I guess I expected maybe a few more laughs, but this movie is fun, just very typical. Sam Jackson seemed like he was having a great time. An interesting/fun role for Salma Hayek as well.
Silly, funny, fun.
Don't expect clever conversation, or a thoughtful plot line. It's just funny, action and it really works.

- AnecdotesSir Gary Oldman learned to speak fluent Russian for his role as the villain Dukhovich. Despite no prior knowledge of Russian, Oldman was required to speak it expertly in the film. "I probably could have learned 'Hamlet' measure for measure in the time that I've spent on my lines," he laughed. Nevertheless, working with a Russian coach daily, Oldman did just that.
- GaffesWhen Professor Asimov testified at the trial that Dukhovich killed his wife and child, Dukhovich's attorney objected that this was hearsay and the court granted the objection and excluded the testimony. The testimony was not hearsay. Hearsay is testifying about what someone else said happened. Asimov was testifying about events that he directly witnessed and the testimony should have been allowed.
