I was truly excited for this anime, as horror is a major part of my life. As someone stated before the voices are squeaky but atleast they are young girls. What kills me is the over all concept for this anime is amazing and I wanted to enjoy it. But it all feels rushed, there is no suspense build up and after a slow first episode the rest are so fast paced it leaves a lot of holes in the story. If they would have taken their time and built up the suspense and story it would have probably been a favorite of mine but it's lack luster and quiet unsatisfying. Like how you don't get much back ground on any character, you don't have time to create an attachment to anyone. The gore is somewhat decent but the random events that occur makes no sense. Oh we are going to show this first clip in the beginning and flash back to it once or twice but never tell you the point of it, of yea you wonder about this person well they are this with no context or reasoning. I feel like as mentioned before if they would have actually made this a series of 12 episodes instead of 4 they could have made a killer horror anime, heck I have seen several that's only 6 episodes and they was still better than this one and I rated them horrible.

Look, this isn't groundbreaking, it isn't terrifying, I wouldn't even consider it all that scary.

But it's short, to the point, and honestly I enjoyed it. The animation is great, the plot isn't over complicated, I enjoyed many of the characters, and I'm actually glad this was only 4 episodes Im thankful I watched before reading the reviews on here. Is it perfect? No. Is it scary? No. But is it "the worst anime ever?" As some have said, hell no.

Again, I enjoyed it, it was like a visual short story with horror elements. It feels right at home in the many short horror story books I read and collect. The fact people gave this 1 star when there are actually terrible animes that exist is genuinely confusing to me.

If you're curious, give it a watch. And if you hate it? Well you've only wasted the time it would take to watch a movie and you can move on.

This show literally has next to nothing to do with the promotional material they teased. The show has basically zero real horror elements and the show ends like immediately after it gets barely interesting. Not only did they end it as early as possible, they also write the most insipid story and ending to their already half-baked story. Do yourself a huge favor and don't waste a single second on this abysmal garbage fire of an anime. I know horror anime in general is severely underrepresented, but trust me, if you saw the promo material and you're interested in the show like I was, don't waste your time.

I seen many good horror anime's like Elfen Lied, Corpse Party, Shiki, Paranioa Agent, Berserk, Monster, When They Cry, Another, and etc. But this horror anime created by Adult Swim was so awful that it annoy me. The story was rush and lack with a lot of plot holes. Being four episode it explain to much in less but also less explain with too much going on. The characters were awful from the way they were drawn, to their voice over, and their backstories which needed more in an expand of 12 episodes. As me being a big fan of horror anime, this anime is definitely on the bottom of the list as worst.

Well it's anime, it's every bit as nauseating, childish and lame as you would expect it to be. I had some hope for it because I have seen decent horror series from Japan in the 90's and 2000's (think Pet Shop of Horrors, Blood the Last Vampire). I personally believe over dramatized reactions and squeaky girl voices have ruined anime, sadly this series is no exception. And no, I don't think a Japanese dub would have improved upon this, it is fundamentally flawed in the story and the characters themselves. A whiny Japanese girl is just as bad as an English one. The horror elements fail to impress, they're crudely drawn and actually make me laugh, there's no suspense, just a lot of little girls squealing and being obnoxious. Similar to Korean dramas the tone is literally all over the place and ruins the mood completely. If you're not an anime fan this is definitely a hard pass, there's nothing of substance here.
