A Star is Born!
A snaoshot of a pathetic life
Why?
Missed the mark too many times
The movie is the creation of Anna Shields who also plays the lead. There are opportunities or maybe they were actual attempts at comedy but it misses the laughs. They try to garner sympathy for the main character but again misses the mark. It seems like there are dramatic moments to draw you into the story but once again, a total miss. In addition there is much that doesn't make sense.
This could have been interesting. This could have been funny. Even the ending could have been something. Instead we get nothing.

Mason: I was born a female. But growing up, I always knew I was a man. I'm ready to make the transition physically, it's just that I'm still saving up some money for the operations, so I haven't gotten either done yet.
Emma: So, you've been lying to me this whole time?
Mason: Yeah. Yes, I guess I have.
Emma: [She kisses him, laughing]
Mason: Wait, so you don't mind?
Emma: No, why would I?
